I learned that the colonists won more than one war at first I thought they only won the last war but then I learned that they won much more. I also thought that General Washington lead all of the wars but he didn't but he still lead most of the wars. The war between Lexington and Concord was on Wednesday, April 19, 1775. When we first started learning about the wars I thought they just shot at each other but in the battle of Lexington they waited tell the first shots were fired just as the sun was rising at Lexington. The British stood in a line and shot and were easily killed but the colonists hid in trees and behind bushes so it was harder for the British to kill them. The colonists won the war by mostly using there better stradey of hiding.

I have learned that George Washington was the commander for most of the battles on the US colonist side. Another thing that I have learned about the battles is that the battles were spread out not just in one year and then it was over. In the AR war sometimes British had a lot more soldiers than the colonist did. But then again colonist had there times too when they had many more people than the British did. I noticed that some of the battles happened in New York well others happened in Philadelphia. The battles did stay on one half on the border of what is now the United States. That was just a fraction of what I have learned about the AR war

What I learned from reading about the battle was that George Washington and his troops (the colonist) had to go through very rough times. They had to freeze and starve when they battled at Trenton. Another thing I learned was that even though the colonist lost many times they just kept fighting and didn't give up and that lead them to winning the war. The battles were around the Eastern part of the united states. They were mostly by New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. While the British fought in a straight line the colonist used a gorilla technique and hid in the trees to stay hid from the British. This is mostly what I learned while reading about the battle of the American Revolution.

I learned a TON about the revolutionary war over these past few weeks. I learned that the battle was more than the British and The Colonists chasing each other around the future america. There were MANY battles (most in the northeastern part of the U.S) of battle, surrender, battle, surrender, and so forth. I also learned that some of the battles actually were just warnings, and nobody dying! (thankfully) Plus, I learned that the biggest advantage the colonists had was that the British lined up in strait lines to fire, and the colonists used guerrilla style fighting, hiding behind bushes and trees for the element of surprise. In addition, I learned that the British would punish the colonists with many taxes and inconveniences for rebelling against Britain in order to get freedom. Some of the those taxes and inconveniences were having to give British militia a place to stay , cook for them, and for their laundry, and one tax was tax on tea. That would be like taking away coffee today! I learned a lot more than just this so these were just a few

I learned that George Washington was one of the many people who led the colonies to lost and victory. One of the battles was the Battle of Yorktown. The Battle of Yorktown was the very last major battle over land in the Revolutionary War. Lord Charles Cornwallis was the commander for Great Britain and George Washington led America. The winner was, of course, America. Another Battle I learned about was the Battle of
Quebec. At Quebec City, Province of Quebec Captain William DeLaPlace led Great Britain and Benedict Arnold led the 13 colonies. The US colonies had great plans. Sadly, with 48 killed, 34 wounded, and 431 captured the colonies had heavy losses. I also learned some of the battles locations. Some of those place were, Lexington and Concord, Charleston, White Plains, Princeton, Yorktown, Cowpens, and more.

Most of the battles were around Boston and Massachusetts. I learned the Americans wanted Quebec. The battles were mostly in the North/ northeastern. Most of the battles were in the 1770's. The first military engagements of the war is the battle of Lexington and Concord. Mainly the americans did the sneak attacks.

I realized this when I was reading about how Washington and his army had to cross through the Delaware River on December 7. When they were doing that, they had no shoes, food, or warm coats so they were just walking in freezing weather, and 5,000 people got sick so they some people too, so they fought harder and harder. That is how I realized you had to fight no matter what.

I also noticed that most of the battles were in where the colonists and never in Britain. All the battles were very back and forth winning. The colonists hide behind trees and use secret attacks. But the British lined up in a line and shot. The British soldiers were hired and didn't have as big as reason to fight as the colonists did. The colonists needed freedom and they did what they had to do to get it. One of the battles I have been learning is Cowpens. One of our most important leaders were General George Washington. He never got shot in any of the battles. His horse has gotten shot under him but never him.

The battles mostly took place in the northeast. George Washington usually led the Colonists. The most important battle was the one at Yorktown. This was the battle that decided everything. The Colonists won the battle and they had declared their independence. The war had finally ended. The British were outnumbered and only about 400 men were left. The Colonists worked hard to try to win these battles. So did the British but most of the time they were outnumbered because all the colonists joined the fight.

What I have learned so far is that in Middlesex county in 1775 Lexington and Concord fought I also learned that when Lexington and Concord were fighting 700 men were told to go capture and destroy military supplies but the other side heard about this plan and hid all their weapons and supplies. The last thing I learned about Lexington and Concord was the first shot was fired as the sun was rising at Lexington and the British had won the war. On Friday, June 16, 1775 in Charlestown, Massachusetts the battle of Bunker Hill took place. This war was for Independence. The British did win the war because they did take control of the hill but they suffered too many losses to fully benefit from it.

The battle of Trenton took place on Thursday, December 26, 1776 in Trenton, New Jersey. Great Britain and the US colonies fought. as soon as Fort Lee was abandoned Washington took his army across Philidalphia but soon the men suffered a great loss of clothing and sense of defeat which quickly turned into high sickness. The US colonies won the war.

By reading about the battles of the Revolutionary War, I realized it was longer than what I expected. The tough part for the Colonists was how little they were and how much the British despised them. The Americans had one thing up their sleeve though, something to fight for.......Freedom. The most valued prize of all. Through the ruff times the Colonists had determination and passion. General George Washington led most of are victorious battles as we soared through the British like our Nation's symbol itself. We overpowered Great Britain in heart which led them to surrender at The battle of Yorktown, Tuesday, October 09, 1781. The Colonists had a tremendous 20,600 troops that demolished the small 8,980 British army. The British were forced to declare a peace treaty because they couldn't accept anymore defeat. The Americans freedom was granted.
