The Thirteenth Child by Patricia C. Wrede

The Thirteenth Child is a fantasy book about a girl named Eff, who's family is full of magicians, telling a bunch of stories throughout her life being the 13th child, being spited and frowned upon by aunts, uncles, and cousins, while living along side her twin brother, who just so happens to be the seventh son of the seventh, meaning he has potential to become a very powerful magician. I really enjoyed this book because it was action packed, but not just set on one adventure or challenge, but many in different stories during different times of her life as she is growing up. Also, their wasn't a romance aspect with the main character which I liked because she was focusing on herself and future and not getting caught up with boys.
