Nat love was born as a slave on a plantation in Davidson County, Tennessee. He had to take charge of his family after his dad past away, teaching him how to be a leader. Nat Love always had an interesting skill and talent with horses. So, after he wins a horse in a contest and sells it, he makes way to Kansas on foot. Nat Love joined the Duval Ranch. He encountered numerous fights with the Native Americans, some farmers, and even bandits. One time Nat Love was even captured by the Native Americans but since the Native Americans were so impressed by his skill and courage, they didn't kill him. After three years of this hard work, and occasionally traveling to Mexico, he became Duval Ranch's buyer and the chief brand reader.
