         <description><![CDATA[<var>Ethan Parker&nbsp;</var><div><br></div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; What is a Phobia? A phobia is an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something. Phobias may emerge during childhood, pop up randomly in adulthood or even occur in a result of a traumatic event involving the object of fear. In some cases scientist suggested that phobias are related to genes.</div><div>What are the differences between fear and&nbsp; a phobia? A fear is a common feeling of and object that is diagnosable. While a phobia is usually a form of anxiety disorder and is characterized by intense fears or irrational fears of a situation or object that could pose no threat in some cases. Phobias go farther than your usual fear. &nbsp;</div><div>There are three different types of phobias which are Specific, Social, Agoraphobia. Specific is when there is a specific situation or object causing fear, such as heights, flying, or snakes ext. Social phobias revolve around social situations&nbsp; and are like social anxiety disorder. Agoraphobia is the fear of being in a place or situation that is perceived to be hard to escape from.</div><div>Most phobias can be diagnosed with cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and fear reduction techniques. In many cases, actionexty or antidepressant medication proves helpful. Some of the most common phobias are; Arachnophobia, Ophidiophobia, Achrophobia, Agoraphobia, Cynophobia.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
