         <description><![CDATA[<div>Dave,<br><br>Your topic of interest is certainly of great importance. The technology field is advancing daily and allows more to offer for students. <br>Your conceptual map beings up a few good points which you have included to touch upon. The first point about enjoyment is vital for success in an online program (in my opinion). If the students are not enjoying distance learning, they may feel unattached versus a face to face classroom. In addition, you pointed out effectiveness. I know for most of us, we decided to do a hybrid EdD rather than a 100% online, because we felt face to face learning can be more effective. Explaining and providing research on both of these points may be what reaches success for the academic effect of interactive design in online courses.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Overall, I thought your map was well-organized and thorough.  I liked how you included the references.  That should make organizing your paper easier down the road.  I think the topic is very interesting and has some similarities to mine.  While yours deals with online courses, I will be looking at online communication to improve student experiences on clinical.  Some of the articles, such as the Chakraborty article are very similar, although the fields of study are different.  I am interested to see where your research leads.  Online learning is growing everyday and I think its awesome to see some of newer research on Learning Management Systems.  The idea of looking at student enjoyment is also key to getting "buy-in" from the students.  I have to deal with the same goals in implementing my communication technology.  Great Job!</div>]]></description>
