However, my teacher and how she taught our class about history contributed. Also, I went to the Netherlands that summer and visited a historical site that had been transformed into a museum to remember the holocaust as well. The original site was kept in its original format and was mostly in ruins, but an area had been added to show various pieces of history of WWII and the Holocaust, unfortunately, much of the information and details were in Dutch, but it was still a rewarding and impactful experience.
