Possible technological advancement for this deprivation is to provide the affected fishermen with modern boats and fish hatcheries which will allow the fish to grow and recreate.  This can help the fishermen have the supply they need and which they can also resell to markets to give them additional income. These can help them have a source of income that they can use to live their daily lives when SMC continues with its project. This can have a positive impact on them because like we’ve stated, they can continue what they are already doing and the boats and hatchery will be their property. On the other hand, the negative impact is that it will cost a lot of time, money, and preparation to do.

Bulacan is facing several geohazards and one of these is frequent flooding. An environmental impact assessment was conducted on the area by a group Advocates of Science and Technology for the People (AGHAM) and they discovered that the entire 2,500 hectare aerotropolis could be submerged by water if a storm surge occurs. Phivolcs Director, Renato Solidum, stated that the area where the airport city is planned to be built and low-lying communities near it are areas that are known for being prone to flooding. 

It’s important to address the issue of flooding in all places such as Bulacan because it causes disruption to the daily lives of the residents. Disasters like these usually happen all the time and if people fail to address this, it will not only cost high expenses but it can also cost more lives. Although it will not completely remove all the risks and impacts, it will surely minimize them. Addressing this problem can help lessen harm to physical infrastructure and aid in maintaining continuation of economic and social activities in communities.

Fishermen belong to the poorest sectors in the Philippines but they are a big contributor to our food supplies. They are facing a challenge because the SMC or San Miguel Corporation are planning to build an “Airport City'' as a reclamation project.Fishermen are worrying about their livelihood and their communities being in danger of being affected by the said project. 

Addressing this is important especially for those families who live in poverty and fishing is the main source of livelihood and depend on it to survive their daily lives.  That is why we think we must address this issue because poverty here in the Philippines is rampant and is a serious issue. In order to live, they must find a job to earn money to support their families and SMC needs to support them in this endeavor. Yes, the reclamation project might benefit other people and can help our economy, but we need to understand that in exchange for this, simple lives who are already living in poverty will be affected.
