I lso wanted to ecapep religious persecutionAlso getting a job in New York having money to afford a home to live in.I don't want to be sent back like some other folks did I want to stay and live a good life also for my child.Learning another language just to live in New York.Living the American Dream is just to have a better life then it was on Ellis Island.
