2. The teacher models an example to the whole class of an easy one-pattern phonics lesson for a week, and this gradually progresses in difficulty within the next weeks. Independent work and homework is given throughout to assess understanding.
3. If one student is not improving with the rest of the class, you have to find a way to supplement their instruction without them getting left behind, or the rest of the class not progressing as well.
