I used to think that I would have to put together the content for these workshops.

Now I think that the framework and content are already available.

So I challenge myself to prepare by knowing the framework and content thoroughly.

I really appreciate all of the RA facilitators that I have interacted with who have exhibited such enthusiasm for RA. It has really inspired me to embrace and champion RA for our district.

I used to think that the expectations for successful facilitation would be more than I can manage.

Now I think that the expectations are indeed more that I can manage, but they are NOT more than WE can manage.

So now I challenge myself to come to the deepest possible understanding of Reading Apprenticeship and to prepare to share the good news of RA.

I appreciate Tim's thoughtful and timely posts that gave me much to consider as I read and posted; the template for responses to three readings in the second module (I think) that I stole; and the coming opportunity to talk about his work in religious education.

I appreciate the sense of wonder, dedication, and enthusiasm that pervades each of Haley's posts. And her hair, especially when it is piled high on her head. And that fact that she is evil.

I appreciate Alicia. Just Alicia. All of Alicia. Her reassuring, clarifying, and encouraging responses, especially, but all of Alicia.

I appreciate Joey's thesaurus mind! I always learn new and interesting words when I read his thoughts. I love learning new words! (That isn't a joke, I'm weird like that)

I appreciate Haley's kind words, I have seen her at other PD opportunities recently and she is always so sweet and encouraging!

I appreciate all of the RA facilitators and their genuine love of what they do. If you don't have a passion for what you do, you shouldn't be doing it. I know that these ladies have a passion for reading and a passion for serving others!

I used to think that facilitation was going to be

something that would take me a while to feel

prepared for.

Now I think that our team of FITs are rockstars

and that with a little practice, we will become pros

at facilitating Reading Apprenticeship PDs.

I appreciate Tim for being on the ball and leading

the charge in completing this online course.

I appreciate Joey's humor! It's always nice to have a

good laugh while also working hard.

I appreciate Amy's honesty and eagerness to make RA

something that all disciplines are passionate about.

I appreciate Alicia for being our fearless leader!

I used to think that the workshop would be very strict.

Now I think that it will be more open-minded and fun.

I challenge myself to ask questions and learn from my peers as much as I can in those two days.

I appreciate each and every one of you for your thoughtful responses and knowledge. This is my 3rd year teaching, so everyday still feels quite new and different for me. I am thankful to be a part of something so great and innovative to the system of education.

I look forward to meet you Joey, Haley, Time, and Amy. I am confident that Alicia chose us all for a very special reason. Safe travels and I will see you all very soon.
