Other additions (Use of ICT in classroom)
One interesting tool that I came across during my prac was unit plan / lesson plans from the platform inquisitive.com which had interactive activities and linked very well to the Australian curriculum.

Teachers were also using SEESAW to have students record their research findings about places. 

The CLIPS app is my new learning, which the students use to record videos of their learning journey with subtitles- editing pictures using different filters; adding funny emojis. This can be used for HASS or any other discipline.

Social collaborative interaction is encouraged through google classroom discussions when the teacher wants students' perspective on a specific topic.

Students are able to locate places all over the world and view them on a map or as a satellite image. The ability to zoom in and out also helps to visually show the places in space, ranging from local to global scales, which is such an abstract idea that many young students would struggle with. The developments in Global Positioning Systems (GPS) technologies have the potential to greatly enhance geography learning (Queensland Government, 2018, as cited in Making Humanities and Social Sciences Come Alive). The satellite mode is also useful for looking at land forms and comparing landscapes in different regions.
