Samuel Whinnem; I like listening to a specific playlist and trying to "teach" a friend about it. Last semester I would go into a small youtube stream and talk about my studies in the chat, it helped!

the way i go about studying as of now is looking over all the material and writing down the important stuff. most times i rewrite all powerpoints then constantly go over those notes. i try and go for a memorization tactic.

Samuel Whinnem; I take advice from all my friends whom I admire, though I've found advice from most of my teachers in middle and high school to not have benefited me much. Instead, I take "odd" advice from reddit and see what sticks.

When I am studying, I like to first look through the material and highlight key words and definitions, then I like to read and take notes on the subject as well as mine own thoughts on the subjects.

Lilithe Aislin- It depends on the subject. For my Real Estate License exam, I read through parts of the textbook and wrote down key concepts in a notebook. For many subjects, I will listen to audio textbooks while cleaning or doing something active, then revisit and listen to the text while reading and taking notes on concepts I think would be important.

1. For the most part that I know, I learned to study when I was probably in my younger years. Perhaps Pre K, when learning simple basic and easy things, like colors, letters, etc. To me the process even life for studying is the education we need.

i like to study by taking notes and reviewing a specific set of chapters for a designated amount of time. i try to even out blocks of studying with short breaks to encourage production and efficiency while working

method wise i learned this from my mom, writing things out helped her. most of the way i studied for high school test were also this way of just writing things down, going over it repeatedly until i have it memorized.

Christine Bakes - I do not currently study because I don't have any classes I need to study for. This is my first semester, and I am taking this class and public speaking. I have not needed to study yet, but in high school I would review notes and read the textbook.

My main source of learning how to study is from middle and high school english. In school we would have units solely devoted to different forms of note taking, what to look for when taking notes, and how to find a note style that fits you best

Lilithe Aislin- I was never taught how to study. When I needed to take my Real Estate License exam, I realized that I needed to learn how to study because the coursework doesn't really prepare you for the test itself. So I mostly just thought of something I thought might work, and kept it when it did.

One thing that has been challenging to me regarding studying at the college level is taking college level notes when reading course material. The first step of studying is successfully taking notes on the material at hand. I feel like I set myself up at a disadvantage by often taking incomplete notes and not building a good foundation to study on.

it’s been a struggle with time and information. you take so many classes and have to recall so much information in between life and work and such, sometimes i find it hard to find the time to study well for all classes. i also probably need a new study method too.

Q1, Ary I pretty much just broke the material down into sections. While using flashcards I would just go over everything until I memorized it and then I continued the process.

I find studying at the college level to be hard depending on the course I'm taking. Sometimes I would have to change my way of studying to avoid being bored or tired. A common example is changing the areas I study. Instead of home, you may see me at the Tunxis Library, or my hometown library.

Q3: What has been harder for me is that classes are extremely different since i was in high school last year so It’s a big step up for me so having to study before in high school only took about max 1 hour but now in college for me it takes about 2-3 hours to understand everything that was given.

After long periods of studying, I have a hard time remaining focused on my task at hand due to mental fatigue and overload. After several hours of studying, I will find myself having to read the same passage multiple times due to losing focus very easily.

Lilithe Aislin- The most challenging thing about studying during college has honestly been my health challenges. Constant migraines have made it hard to keep up with all of the irons I have in the fire and have made my already limited time even more limited. I wasn't expecting college to be mostly self-taught, but I was at least prepared for that because k-12 was not much different as a neurodivergent student.

studying at a college level involves more ways of research and learning which information is accurate and which is not. Also citing your resources, where did that information come from. Both are An area of growth for me as well as organization of notes, I am always looking for better ways to help organize my notes and thoughts on the subjects.

Q2,Ary. I don't remember exactly who I learned my studying methods from but I remember copying the methods some of my classmates used. Also my mother went to college when I was in middle school and she would recommend using "quizlet" a lot.

I think the hard part is not giving a lot of time to college because I think it more important than things that you will do in a day college when it’s come to me I have to give it the right time and be patient with the work but overall it’s nice.
