Jody heard the barn door swing open and looked outside. To his surprise, the pony was gone. Jody knew that he was going to be in a lot of trouble if something had happened to the pony. Jody saw the tracks in the dirt from the pony’s hooves. He wanted to know what was going on right now but Jody knew it was not going to be good. 

Jody- ( Thinking in his head) I think I know where the Pony is. The pony is going to die if I don't get him to the barn for the surgery.  

Narrator- Then, all of a sudden he saw a huge swarm of buzzards. Jody was furious and thought that the buzzards had killed his pony. Jody attacked one of the buzzards and killed it. 

Jody- ( Yelling with a lot of anger) Why did you have to kill him? The pony was my friend and he was too young.

Narrator- Carl Tiflin and Billy Buck arrived with different responses. Billy Buck was very understanding and kind, while Carl Tiflin was stricted about the death.


Carl- Jody (screaming) The buzzards didn't kill him. Don't you know that. 


Jody- I know it. I just know how big of a responsibility the pony was and when it died I was furious. I am really sorry father.

Narrator- After Jody was yelled at by his father Billy Buck started to yell at Carl in Jody's defense about the pony's death.

Billy buck- Jesus Christ! Man, can't you see how he'd feel about it? His pony just died and he is feeling terrible and guilty that the Pony.

Carl- I know but he had big responsibility but it was to soon and too fast to give him this responsibility.

Narrator-  the scene ends when Jody is sad about the pony's death. Carl is disappointed at Jody for killing the Buzzard. Billy Buck is understanding but angered at Carl for yelling at Jody.

First and foremost, This scene is at the end of the novel. For example, the pony escapes from the barn and dies by the road. Jody sees the pony dead and the buzzards flying over the pony and gets mad thinking the buzzards killed the pony. Enraged Jody attacks the buzzards and manages to kill one of the buzzards. Carl Tiflin and Billy Buck arrive after Jody has killed the buzzard, but both have different responses. Carl Tiflin is more strict and Billy Buck is more understanding and kind. Hence, our scene is going to interact with the characters ability to be kind and caring.
