What steps did you take to achieve this strength?</p><p><br/></p><p><em>I think that my analysis is strong because it's elaborate.</em></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Area for Improvement:<br></strong>What is one part of your writing that could be stronger, and what specific change would help improve it? Think about both Mrs. Mathews’ feedback and anything you have noticed yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>I think that I can definitely improve my structure, choice of words and forming the sentences and what to write. My analysis is strong but my structure and grammar definitely needs some improvement. My goal would be to learn about the structure for the text I'm writing better before I start writing and also to plan it beforehand. When it comes to grammar I would like to practice more and learn more about spelling.</em></p>]]></description>

Think about both Mrs. Mathews’ feedback and anything you have noticed yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>My transitions between quotes could be smoother, so the paragraph flows more naturally. I want to improve paragraph flow by using better transition words and reading my writing aloud to check connections between ideas.</em></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

What steps did you take to achieve this strength?</p><p><br/></p><p><em>I feel like one of the strengths in my formative paragraph is my analysis. Sometimes I have a hard time incorporating the quote fluidly, yet almost always I am able to have depth on my analysis once I take the time to fully understand the text I am reading and break it down into small parts.</em></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Area for Improvement:<br></strong>What is one part of your writing that could be stronger, and what specific change would help improve it? Think about both Mrs. Mathews’ feedback and anything you have noticed yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>I believe that I could improve my word choice because I use simple words that are usually seen as very repetitive within my writing. To fix this, I could read more books and take the words of the week vocab more seriously. Another improvement I could see myself working on is better incorporating the quotes into my writing more fluidly, this would get better with practice. </em></p>]]></description>

Think about both Mrs. Mathews’ feedback and anything you have noticed yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>Despite that I had come up with interesting ideas and found relevant quote, I lack of the depth in analyzing, and extending the idea. I would want to improve my organization and the depth in analyzing text, and connecting my ideas to the text that are relevant. Also to improve my grammar.</em></p>]]></description>

Think about both Mrs. Mathews’ feedback and anything you have noticed yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>I should focus on making my analysis less wordy to try to make my points clearer. When it comes to word choice, I should focus on using specific terminology and avoid abstract terms such as "thing". I should use transition words to show my reader that I’m moving on to my next point. My priority would be to focus on transition words and phrases. I will use the 'transitional words' document to my advantage to avoid using too many words.</em></p>]]></description>

One way I could improve is to map out my ideas before going straight into writing. I also use too many adjectives, which can be avoided when I go back to check my work.&nbsp;I would like to focus on grammar. I could do this by writing more and getting feedback, or by relooking at some grammar rules.</em></p>]]></description>

I needed some guidance on my paper. It is stronger now that I edited it than it was originally. There were also some clarity issues that I struggled to find without someone else pointing them out because they sounded fine to me. On my next paper I would focus more time on coming up with deeper metaphors and I would ask Mrs Matthews for some assistance on my paper when I need it. I would make sure my wording is more clear and get some help from Chat GPT on my paper.</em></p>]]></description>

It is because in the topic sentence, I got advice from Mrs. Mathew that I could develop my ideas and think in different ways and give some specific examples better. If I focus on one writing skill to improve my next assignment, that would be word choices, because in the analysis of quotations, I repeated some same words, that could be synonyms. To practice developing this skill, I would increase my vocabulary by reading more articles.</em></p>]]></description>
