I believe that some barriers to students coming to school would be motivation this early on into the school year since they are still accommodating to their classes and school as a whole I think another reason would definitely be mental health days that students may take as there is a pattern of students that are overwhelmed for reasons in and out of school. Block scheduling is also an issue as it is difficult to keep up with the workload and it’s also hard to balance classes when you don’t attend them daily.

Not enough fun courses

Connect real life with school courses

No to little social interaction with peers

Mentors needed for students to connect

Letting parents and students know the importance of school

Very low motivation

No bigger hopes/dreams pushing them towards movement.

Can't envision a future.

Not in reality; eg: short stature youth believes he will be a professional basketball ball player.

Broken relationship in home.

Doesn't feel seen and heard but doesn't realize how that is impacting them, little perseverance.
