On the right there is a famous clothes store. I think that this painting is fascinating and “real” because it represents a daily and simple scene.

This image is a painting made by Francesco Hayez in 1859, is titled “The Kiss” and represents an episode of youth.
In the painting we see in the middle these two young people kissing, probably in an underground room because that environment he painted gives me that impression.
The colours have been used very well because as we can see they highlight the man and the woman and then behind with darker colours there are painted the stairs and shadows.
On the left there seems to be a shadow that gives me the impression of being a person, maybe someone was spying on them.
In my opinion it is a truly intriguing and realistic painting.

He's also wearing glasses. In his right hand he's holding a pitchfork. Beside him, HIS WIFE LOOKS EXTREMELY SERIOUS AND SHE is standing <del>his wife.</del> : she's wearing a <del>blach </del>BLACK jumper under a browN dress AND <del>ansìd </del>she's looking at her husband.

In the backround we can see a white house and it's probably their HUGE home.

In the TOP right-hand corner there is a red farm with a balck roof.

MY FAVORITE PAINTING

The document is a WELL-KNOWN painting <del>taken from</del> CREATED BY one of the most famous French artistS, also known AS THE FATHER OF <del>for the foundation</del> of Impressionism, and he’s Claude Monet.

This FASCINATING painting is entilted: ”Impression, SOLEIL LEVANT <del>levar del sole</del>” and is one of the most famous paintings by MONET.

It was <del>made </del>CREATED in 1872 and then exhibited at the Marmottan Monet Museum in Paris.

The MESMERISING painting represents the sunrise, the <del>beggining </del>BEGINNING of a day.

In the background I can see two people<del>, appering</del> in the dark shadow: the ENTHRALLING scene is set in the port of Le Havre.

In the distance <del>but in front of them</del> I can see a boat coming towards the two, IN between I can see the sun’s rays, and <del>at the top </del>the sun at the top.

On the left there seems to be some trees…<del>
</del>

In the foreground is the port and the two boats, <del>from a</del> AND IN THE distance I can clearly see the city, the buildings.

I can easily image that the two in the boat, in the foreground are fisher, a woman and man, while I can deduce that the boat to the right and a little distance from the first, is returning from a night fishing.

<del>I think</del> this painting is REALLY incredible: THE USE OF COLOURS IS REALLY IMPRESSIVE AND THE PAINTING IS SO INSPIRING AND THOUGHT-PROVOKING THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO FEEL ATTRACTED BY THE SCENE <del>, and as a person passionate about paintings and museums it makes me more happy to talk about it.</del>

The artist is very significant, he <del>has </del>managed to creatE a painting that is both calm and breathtaking, with light colors that perfectly define the sunrise.

What surpriseS me about this painting is the order but also the simplicity of such a famous painting.

I think this MASTERPIECE IS ABSOLUTELY <del>picture it’s</del> amazing.

The document is a painting created in the 1793 by Jacques-Louis David, a famous and well-known french painter and politician, under the influence of neoclassicism.

The painting is entitled “The death of Marat”.

It is currently owned by “Les Musèes royaux des Beaux-Arts de Beligique” in Bruxelles.

The document rappresents a man, Marat, who’s laying in a bathtub with his head tilted to the left. He takes up more or less half of the space available and the viewer’s attention is clearly drawn to him and to what is has happened to him.

The scene takes place in an unspecified room of an unknown building.

His expression doesn’t seem suffering or sad but unconscious.

His right arm is dead-hanging and he’s holding a pen. Instead with his left hand he’s holding a piece of paper with some writings on it.

Next to the tub there’s a box made out of wood, used as temporary stand to lean on to write or to put things as a support, to reach them easily without struggling.

There’s a wound in his chest with some blood dripping down from there.

Next to his right hand there’s the knife that was used to stab him.

The lightning is poor, is coming from the top right-hand corner and is concentrated exclusively on him.

We can easily assume that he had a lot of enemies, one of them is Charlotte Corday, that in fact killed him while he was laying in his bathtub, because of his skin disease.

That being said we can deduce that he wasn't in a fully healthy state since his skin colour was not normal.

We can tell he was a journalist by the many pieces of paper he wrote on.

In my opinion this is a thought-provoking and timeless painting, since is not only a painting but a craft created to keep the memory of this politician known.

My art teacher explained and analyzed it to the class last year and it’s one of the few pieces of art that really left a permanent mark in me.

My eyes really appreciate how the background is dark and meaningless and does not have any objects that can distract the viewer from the contrast with his skin and the bathtub and the background. That is simply spectacular and paramount to grasp the amount of passion this painting has sealed inside.

It represents the MOVING AND THOUGHT-PROVOKING moment when Magdalene and the apostles <del>was</del> WERE crying in front of the lifeless body of Mary.

In the foreground I can see Mary dead on the table, and in the bottom right-hand corner Magdalene is sitting in front of her, crying desperately.

In the distance I can also see the apostles weeping around her dead body, especially Paolo and Giovanni.

In the top right-hand corner I notice a red drap that probably covered Mary's body.

The background is dark and bleak (characteristic of Caravaggio's paintings), and the red elements of the painting are highlighted....

- la classe de danse
- Edgar Degas
- old
- current
- elegant
- confusing
- fascinating
- monochrome
- concrete

This MESMERISING painting is entitled “La classe de danse”. The artist is Edgar Degas. It was <del>published </del>CREATED in 1874, so it can be defined as AN old MASTER <del>painting</del>. It represents FASCINATING girls attending a LIVELY dance class.

In the foreground the are two LITTLE girls turned on their backs, they are listening to their teAcher who is in the middle, a little to the right of the painting. One of these LITTLE girls is scratching her back. In the background there are girls dancing, instead in the distance there are others girls who observe their companions. In the middle, at the top there is a sumptuous door, it’s green and white. All girls are wearing ELEGANT white dance dress.

I think this FASCINATING AND INSPIRING painting is current and concrete, because it represents a daily episode in a dance school. In my opinion, ballet is an elegant AND FORMATIVE discipline, and this painting is so elegant also because dresses of girls are fascinating. It was painted with only 7 colors so I consider it a monochrome painting. It’s also confusing because there are too many girls close to each other.

The document is a painting and it's entitled "Card players". The painting comes from France and the artist of this painting is Paul Cézanne who painted it in 1890. The document represents two cards players who are playing cards on a table in a bar.

The main characters are the two players and we can see them in the foreground; the man on the left is wearing a green jacket and a cap; he's smoking a pipe and he's having the cards in hand. The man on the right is wearing a yellow coat and a cap; he's having the cards in hand. In the middle we can see a table where they're playing. In the distance we can't see anything, because there are many dark colours. The painting isn't realistic because the period is the Post-Impressionism and we can notice that the painting is made of geometric shapes.
We can't see the background clearly and we can deduce that Cézanne wanted to highlight the two players.

In my opinion this painting is really simple but at the same time it's wonderful and I like it. This painting is a little bit dismal because there isn't luminosity. I think it's also interesting because we can see the geometric shapes and they are amazing.

This painting is called "breakfast on the grass",Manet painted it in the 1863,and it's now kept in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. This painting depicts two men and a woman, they're in the foreground and they're in a middle of a conversation. We can see they're near a river, the Seine. In the bottom left-hand corner we can see some fruit left in a messy way in the basket, and under we can see some scattered clothes, probably owned by the woman. The two men seems talking of an interesting argument; the woman is the only one that looks in the direction of the artist. The men are wearing modern clothes and the woman is naked. In the background we can see another woman who's bathing in the water, she's wearing a simple nightie. This painting has got a majority of dark colours, especially dark green. In the distance we can see some colored trees and at the top,on the trees,we can see a red tiny bird who's flaying over the people. This painting makes me feel happiness but also solidarity, because of these dark colours, the painting also conveys a slight sadness; but, because of the light in the background, the painting conveys also calm. The painting for me is thought provoking because of the naked woman. But it's also impactful, impressive, stimulating and simple.
