Another reason is so they can reproduce and provide things humans need in the future.  If certain animals die off, we won't get to use them for food, services, or other assistance.

In my opinion, the most important reason to save endangered species is because all plants and animals are a part of a delicate ecosystem. Plants and animals depend on each other to balance out their environment. This even means it's good to have predators to kill other animals so they don't become overpopulated. If an animal dies out, it will throw everything else out of balance and other plants and animals will die also.
