I think he biggest flaw is that she is ungrateful because everything her husband suggested she turned down and said that it wasn't good enough and that she needed more.

 I believe she does get what she deserves because she could've gone to the party with the flowers her husband suggested then she would't have lost the necklace. She also got what she  deserved because she was so selfish when her husband gave her the invitation to the party that he worked very hard to get.

I do believe that she got what she deserved in the end because she couldn't be appreciative of what she already has. She was selfish throughout the story even despite having everyone else being nice to her and respecting her she still had a bratty attitude. Her husband gave her the invitation and despite her knowing how hard she worked she still had an excuse to get what she wanted even though she didn't need it. The money she used to buy a dress was saved up by her husband so he could buy what he wanted for once.
