The plan was to lure the SS officers to a storehouse where they think they will be given new coats and boots.

At 4:00, with a blow of an axe, the first SS soldier was killed. More were killed, and electricity lines and wires were cut, so there was no ability for communication. The camp was burning, guns were aimed, and prisoners were fleeing all within an hour after the first soldier was killed.

 He was placed in the Soviet Red Army on June 22, 1941. He was captured in October, a few months after being placed in the army. He was placed in Sobibór in September of 1943. After only 22 days he lead the escape from the camp.
 Pechersky escaped, and when he found other Russians, he was put on trial, and had to fight on the front lines. 
He survived the front lives. For surviving he was awarded the medal of bravery. Many deaths occured in this camp, around 43,000 jews were killed in Sobibór. The camp had 3 gas chambers, which were located in the most isolated part of the camp, Camp III.
