Over the past two weeks we have been working on and thinking about our interests for the pyp exhibition.

My name is Oliver Hart I am really excited to start my pyp x . I feel like I've had a really slow start so far since I have gone through 4 different topics so far and have been slow with the stuff in one note such as the central idea and also the big ideas, but I feel like I can do better.

This week I have been going fast and I have chosen as my topic as how to make DIY sports equipment. I have also started to get some good questions as well. I've also gotten my central idea and LOI.

So far this week it has been a bit slow with answering questions, but it has been going okay by getting videos online. It has helped with getting the different material ideas and I'm quite proud of my progress. I did not need to make the list which has put me back a bit.

Cut the top off the bottle

MATERIALS

Plastic Drink bottle

Scissors

electrical Tape

Texta

poo bag instead of shuttlecock

Sharp knife

Draw the cuttings on the bottle with Texta

Cut out the marked area with the scissors

Take of the cap on the bottle and cut the white bit of the shuttlecock with sharp tool

Week 5 reflection

this week has been ok since I've finished some of my DIY sport equipment as you can see on your left I have done the shuttlecocks and one of my table tennis racquet.

WEEK 6 REFLECTION

This week has started great, I have made and tested the rest of my equipment. I think the week has been a very productive week. The things I have made are a plastic bottle shuttlecock, a feather shuttlecock, a rubber band ball acting as a ping pong ball, wooden table tennis bat, and my most recent one is my carboard table tennis bat. I think that the feather shuttlecock is the best shuttlecock. I have found that the plastic shuttlecock went the farthest and the highest, but I cannot control it as much as I can with the feather one.

WEEK 7 REFLECTION

This week has started very similar to my first week , slow but later through the week I have felt great. I have made a very good carboard table tennis which I feel is better than my other bat. I am also finishing all my science sheets soon. For my information on the weekend I am planning on making a really good power point that keeps people interested. I am the last thing I would like to do is make some sought of banner to introduce people into my topic. But even though it has been slow I am still striving to finish my exhibition.
