Today, I learned about the pharaoh Senusret 1 he was the ancient pharaoh the accomplished many things such as controlling many gold, copper, and gem mines that were used to make beautiful works of art and jewelry. Also he had great accomplishments in religious architecture and had many temples, shrines, and religious monuments improved or built. Secondly, he also ruled from 1971 to 1926 B.C.E. during the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. Furthermore, I also saw the White Chapel which was made out of alabaster a hard white stone. Some of the historians think that the chapel may have been covered in a thin gold layer. But anyways, on the chapel's pillars were beautiful works of inscribed birds, animals, Egyptian symbols and Sunusret 1 with some Egyptian gods. See you soon!
