Isn't possible sadly class But, scientists and doctors are working on it. HD is hard to cure because of it is a genetic disease. But, there are centers and support groups that helps people with HD. Like Chapters, Affiliates, and HDSA Centers of Excellence.

The side effects for HD are kind of like the symptoms. When the person reaches to middle age, who has HD, he or she start to forget things, have a bunch of mood swings, and start to feel very weak in his or her muscles.

There is no prevention or control for HD, class. The only why of you possibly getting HD is from your family tree. Every child of a parent with HD has a 50/50 chance of inheriting the gene that cause the disease. If the child doesn't have the HD gene from his or her parents, then he or she will not be affected. On the diagram below, it shows a family tree. The blue means the parent or offspring doesn't have the bad gene. The dark purple means the parent or offspring does have the bad gene. As you can class that it passes from family to family, generation to generation in the family tree.

The chromosome that is associated with the disease is chromosome 4. In the chart below, it shows Chromosome 4. Inside of Chromosome 4, it shows the DNA and the DNA strand. On the DNA strand, it shows nucleotides. This where the HD comes in. If you look at the chart, you noticed something strange about the nucleotides in yellow. They repeat. This is a mutation in the DNA strand where the nucleotide repeats more than 36 times, which cause HD.

Populations of People with Huntington's Disease...
Is approximately 30,000 Americans.
