His responsibilities in this position encompass all activities within the city’s Construction Services Program and the City of Greeley Rights of Way project. His work encompasses streets, sewers, and domestic and non-potable water resources, among other areas. Albert Martinez also oversees a team consisting of numerous construction inspectors and technicians, in addition to other civil engineers and office staff.

Prior to joining the City of Greeley, Albert Martinez spent more than three years as an environmental engineer with Holly Frontier Refining, LLC. He effectively managed multiple water conservation construction projects while serving in this role, including several improvements made to the wastewater treatment facility.

Mr. Martinez initially studied engineering at the United States Air Force Academy and earned degrees at the University of Wyoming, and Oklahoma State University. He was a two-time Junior Olympics National champion in freestyle wrestling, as well as a National Greco Roman Wrestling champion.
