The Lexile for this book is AD550L and the age range is 5-8. The book is moderately complex and has a large range of vocabulary words and references to cultural knowledge. I think this book would be perfect for second-grade students. It will challenge them and teach them several different things.

I would use this book to help teach my students unfamiliar words and expand their phonological awareness. It will help them learn how to find multiple layers of meaning in a text and use their background knowledge to dig deeper into the text. I would also use this text to teach them about cultural differences and racial experiences. The book is informational and includes several important historical factors, so I would use this book as a part of a history lesson. It gives students an example of how society was in the 1800s and how different people were treated. It also teaches them the valuable lesson of never giving up.

The Lexile for this book is AD307L, and the age range is 2-5. The book includes a lot of rhyming and descriptive words. The book would be great for first-grade students and second-grade students who are less proficient in reading. It utilizes a lot of graphics and has a slightly complex vocabulary.

I would use this text to help my students with phonological awareness and decoding. There are many common sight words throughout the book and many rhyming words. I will use sight words and rhyming words to help students find meaning in words they are unfamiliar with. I can also use the book to help students learn sentence structure. There are several simple sentences but also some complex ones that we can break apart. I will use a think-aloud to show students how to decode the words they do not know and use background knowledge to find meaning in those words.

The vocabulary is slightly complex and the story is easy to follow. I think this book would be great for first graders.

I loved this book when I was a child. It taught me not to care what others think and to stay true to myself. I would use this book to teach my students that valuable lesson. I would use a think-aloud to help students find the hidden meaning within the text. I would also use this book to work on phonological awareness and learn vocabulary words.

Many illustrations and graphics are included to help enhance the meaning of the text. I think this book would be perfect for second and third-grade level students.

I would love to use this book the week of Thanksgiving. I would use it to teach vocabulary words. Every time we would encounter a vocabulary word, I would have the class break down the phonemes and syllables and then ask them what they think the word means. I would then explain to them what it means and use a think-aloud to show them how to connect it to their lives. Even though the book seems simple, I think students would get a lot of good vocabulary work in and would also really enjoy it.

The Lexile for this book is 1020L, and the age range is 8-12. It is a chapter book and has no illustrations. It has exceedingly complex conventionality and vocabulary, and students need to have some cultural knowledge of the Titanic. Fourth and fifth-graders would benefit from reading this book.

I would use this book during history class when we are learning about the ocean and icebergs. We would read it as a class and take our time going through it. This would be one of the first chapter books my students encounter, so I want to make sure they know everything that is going on. We would learn a little bit about the Titanic before reading so the students have some general knowledge of the topic and know what is going on in the book. This will also help them expand their vocabulary and connect information chapter to chapter.

It will help them learn to be creative and use the resources around them.

There is a lot of content-specific vocabulary, so I would use the book to teach my students how to find meaning in the unfamiliar words we come across. This book will also help support the unit because it will teach students about the different seasons and why they happen. They can use the information and words they learn to write small explanations for each season. Writing the explanations will also help them learn how to write and practice sentence structure.

The book provides students with advice while also telling a story. I think students of all ages could benefit from the content in this book but it is most suitable for second and third-grade level students.

The book tells the story of a boy who is behind his peers when learning to read and he feels discouraged. He overcomes that feeling and tells the readers that it's okay to learn in your own way and at your own pace. I think my students can benefit from this book, especially when they are learning to read. It will help them know that they aren't alone and that it is okay to not understand it right away. It also shows them that I recognize that they aren't going to be on the same level and that I am there to help them when they need it. I think it is a great book to introduce reading and then a great reminder for students when reading gets more complicated.
