I tried to include www within the image. colour wise, i don't like the black at the bottom. I did not want to include a tie, but maybe i could?! I don't like the brown for the hair. the objects for the eye and mouse for nose disappear because they are not coloured in. I may use black still, but take away the white.

I like using the phones in the design as I think it dates it and opens questions to younger people as to why. I particularly like using the phone as a smile as its much more friendly and 'fun' than using a wire. However using the mouse as a nose may be too much detail within the face, so I may take that out. I am keen to use the '<4every1> within the pattern, as this is what he wanted, and it is something that's highlighted within the 'Olympic ceremony 2012'.

Timothy John Berners-Lee was born in London on June 8, 1955. His parents were Mary Lee Woods and Conway Berners-Lee; he had three siblings. The Berners-Lee couple worked with the very first ever commercial computer, the Ferranti Mark 1 so you could say that computers were his legacy.

He attended Sheen Mount Primary school then spent four years at Emanuel School in south west London. As a child, he was a very keen train-spotter and learned all about electronics through playing with his model railway.

After his school years, Berners-Lee enrolled at the University of Oxford at Queen’s College for three years and received a first class degree in physics in 1976.

Gil was very helpful during the crit, I was very appreciative. The notes taken from my crit were - my style was too different from the brand. This was helpful to hear as it confirmed to me that the brand style was important and not to be strayed from. Also he felt as though it was too abstract, which I understand completely. He wants more of a portrait face than an abstracted face, although he felt as tho my research into the web was thorough, with my use of symbolism. Also I took note from other students crit - especially to make sure it looks different to other designs and not similar in colour.

I wanted to keep the colouring simple, so decided on 3 colours. Also I am pleased with the portrait I drew - I felt as though Tim Berners-Lee has a strong nose and kind eyes, and I felt as though I captured a likeness within the line work.

I used Chatty Feet template to see how it looked as one. I am happy with the simplicity, however I need to change the pattern as I do not want the connectivity symbol to be covered with the heel. Also the bottom 'WWW' looks like 'MMM' which is confusing. I will remove this, move the connectivity symbol down and fill the space with something.

I felt as though I had to remove the Web logo cheeks, as it seemed a little too detailed for a sock design. I remember Gil mentioning about details, and how they can get lost on a sock design.
