Seth is one of the first five gods created by the union of Geb (earth) and Nut (sky) after the world's creation. His name is usually translated as "instigator of confusion" and "destroyer" and he was associated with disorder, foreign lands and people, and the color red.

The worship of Seth originally centered at Nubt, near present-day Ṭūkh, on the western bank of the Nile River.
Seth's parents were Geb, the Earth God, and Nut, the Sky Goddess. Set's wife was Nephthys. Set was also the father of Anubis. Set used to protect Ra from Apophis, the God of Chaos and Ra's arch-enemy.
. Since Seth was typically depicted as a donkey or as a man with the head of a donkey from the Late Period, it is possible the donkey was the inspiration for Seth's animalistic behavior.

Why I Chose Seth.

I chose Seth because Seth was fascinating when I read his biography I saw that he was the god of storms, chaos, war, etc, but I also saw the drama between him and Osiris which I wanted to dig deeper into. Click here to check that out and learn some other facts about him. Honestly I thought it was another Zues, Hades, and Poisiden incident, if you know Greek mythology. I have always loved Greek mythology but I didn't realize that there was Roman mythology and Egyptian mythology so, it's a fairly new subject but I LOVE it, it's so amazing to dive deeper into mythology, in general, I would be fine if I could go into any type or creature in mythology, like being able to learn about myth-ical beings, get it MYTHical. But anyway, that is why I chose Seth the god of CHAOS.
