I am ageist. I do take into account age when examining someone. I view some older people as invaluable to society, but at the same time, I categorize others as valuable and fully competent. In conclusion, I must categorize myself as ageist because my primary mental schema for an "old person" is weak, dependent, and incompetent. I could change this by familiarizing myself with senior citizens. I'm sure this would change my opinion dramatically.
