In the official music video, it shows the couple together having fun and as time goes on the partner eventually passes away in a car crash. Throughout the song, From the Ground Up, the songwriters express a confident tone towards the topic. The lyrics say "And we'll build this love from the ground up

And I'll be the man your dad hoped that I'd be." This shows how the man is excited to spend his life with his new wife and knows he will take care of her. By using the words "build" and "forever" the writer gives the audience an everlasting and comforting feeling. Another example in the song would be "Someday we'll wake up
