We are looking into doing a standard that has to do with making a graph and answering questions about the graph. We are thinking of doing something where they have to build a car and do an experiment and collect data to make a graph then answer questions about the graph.

We met last week on the work day to discuss ideas and how we want to go forward with the project. We are now thinking of changing our idea to be something to do with money and students have to "buy" parts to make something then see how much it costs to make for example a car. We are not sure which idea we want to do or if our idea needs to be more coding based and are planning on asking after class next week. We also have been working on researching exactly what LEGO WeDo is and its benefits for students when it comes to learning. We also went over the rubric in detail and are making sure that we understand all of the requirements for the project.

The topic we have decided on is a money lesson using the parts to make a car. The standard we have decided on is 2.MD.C.8 Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. We are now working on our lesson plan and slides presentation that we will record for our video.
