This law is a civil rights provision that entitles any individual with a disability in the United States the right to educational accommodations for education equality among their peers. This gives children with disabilities in public school the ability to learn, challenge, and grow with their peers.
Dell, A. G., Newton, D. A., & Petroff, J. G. (2017). What is Assistive Technology. In Assistive Technology in the Classroom: Enhancing the School Experiences of Students with Disabilities. essay, Pearson.
This law has allowed individuals like Sady to use assistive technology as an educational tool for learning alongside her peers. Sady used her assistive technology to become one of the top students to graduate from college and many children like her are beginning to use their assistive technology to showcase their learning abilities and develop their natural talents. This law not only allows students with disabilities the right to equality but I think gives them the confidence to use their educational accommodations.

This law required public schools to provide equal access to education for children with disabilities. This education would include an evaluation and parent input to create educational plans that teach the same academic material used for non-disabled children.
Texas Assistive Technology Network led by Region IV Education Service Center, Bracewell & Patterson, L.L.P, Texas Education Agency. (n.d.). Providing Assistive Technology: A Legal Perspective. Elearning.uh.edu. I also believe that individuals with disabilities benefit from this law through the evaluation process which helps determine which assistive technology could help them with their understanding.

The "Tech Act" was the first Act to define assistive technology and guaranteed the availability of assistive technology devices and services for individuals with disabilities.
