Ele's Place was founded in the year 1991 in memory of Ele Stover, who died in 1989 at the age of 11 months. This organization was founded by Ele's parents Mr. and Mrs Stover. Eli had four siblings that will forever hold her in their memories. This organization is in place because of the struggle and hardship that the Stovers went through which motivated them to help others who were enduring similar hardships.

"Ele’s Place is a nonprofit, community based organization dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children, teens, and their families." That is their mission. Through peer support programs they help children (ages 3-18) cope with the death of a loved one. This mission statement and purpose is the basis of the whole organization. Ele's place helps the community with a problem that will never go away; dealing with the loss of a loved one. This unique and special organization has mentored hundreds of grieving children teaching them coping methods helping them through their difficult time.

Death is something that everyone will eventually experience. When this happens there will be people who are affected and that is where Ele's place comes in. They help children get through the loss of a loved one and it will forever impact their lives. This organization focuses completely on kids helping them relieze that they are not alone. Through guidance and help the children learn they can get through difficult loss. This organization pertains to the new testament by embodying one of its beatitudes "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5: 1-12)

Volunteering is always welcome and there are also positions available within the organization.

These include:

- Facilitate the children (watching and helping with various activities)

- Out reach (spreading word to the community)

- Work in the office (helping the organization and setting up programs)
