• We discussed Module 3 Task 2

This is my first individual multimedia diary blog. I am focusing on two elements: ambiguity and intensity.

Key Ideas:

• We decided to create a Canva presentation to present our prototype

• We also decided to create educational Google Slides to teach the name of the colors in a fun and interactive way.

• We finalized that Our educational Slides should have interactive learning videos, songs, and games

• I was very interested in creating interactive games and virtual worksheets using AI from scratch. So  I took part in creating the interactive game and virtual worksheets using AI. 

Prototype Development:

• I asked from Chat GPT, “What online tools can I use to create online worksheets? and the ChatGPT gave me these responses.

• First I decided to use Google Docs but it was not very interactive for Kindergarteners so I decided to try Wizer.me 

• It was frustrating in the beginning and I was very confused about using a new tool Wizer. me to create the worksheet. However, using this new AI tool gives me the idea that I can create any worksheets using Wizer. me. I successfully created these two Matching and Sorting worksheets. Click here

• Wizer.me is easy and simple to use 

• I saw some free online color games that are all about sorting the item

• I am trying to create an online game to teach students the Color names of real-world objects. I wanted to create an online game that gives children the opportunity to see the picture and then click the color name according to the picture.

We decided to create a prototype on WIX. First, we decided to create a Google site then we finalized WIX because WIX has more interactive options. It is very easy to access. It has drag-and-drop options which is very convenient and easy to use. We can easily customize our design and content. We can easily add text, images, videos, forms, social media links, and other elements to the site page.

One thing I don't like about WIX is that only one group member can work at a time on the site. we can not work together on the site as a group.

First I tried H5P but this platform did not allow me to create a game that has multiple choice. Then I tried Genially and I created an interactive color-recognizing game using Genially. I developed a game from scratch called 'Color Around Us.' This interactive game is designed to engage children in a fun and educational way, helping them learn about colors in the world around them.

1. Adjustment according to the feedback: 

Feedback 1: I wanted to just suggest something I saw while perusing: in your professional services section, you mention educator sourcing twice (once at the top and once at the bottom of the subsection). I'd also love to see some more details on the pod setup and learning assessment sections - what would these services actually cover? 

Actions: 

• removed the extra educator sourcing 

• deleted the “learn more” button on the home page

• In terms of the pod setup, we clarified with ChatGPT about the definition and added a more detailed explanation on the home page under the professional services section. (ChatGPT: what is pod setup? https://chat.openai.com/share/3e83dafe-6980-49c7-80fc-37b8ef3c12f0)

• Added some more details under “What we offer” section. to clear what these services would actually cover.

Educator Sourcing:

This website was created by experienced Kindergarten teachers who have 5 to 10 years of experience working with diverse children, especially children whose primary language is not English. Their experience equips them with a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges linguistically diverse students face, allowing them to create an easy website that teaches children about the Name of The Colors. 

Pod Setup:

The pod setup emphasizes personalized learning, collaboration and flexibility. We used this approach in creating our website because this approach to education acknowledges that every student has unique strengths, interests, and learning styles, and seeks to create an environment where each student can thrive. Children can use our website to explore a variety of games, stories, music, and interactive activities based on their interests. 

Learning Assessment:

Teachers can examine students' learning progress to see how well they are meeting the desired learning objectives. To assess kids' color comprehension, we developed a range of worksheets and interactive games. Combining several assessment techniques, such as games and worksheets, is a useful approach to gauge students' comprehension of ideas like colors and evaluate their learning objectives. 

Feedback 2: I am also curious about what the 'learning about colours' section will involve? It looks like it could be an interactive mini-game where mixing various colours could produce new colours, which would be an exciting and engaging way to get young learners involved in their learning in a hands-on way!

Actions: 

• we decided to not update this part, and the reason why is because we already integrated the hands-on activity with mixing color under the science project and worksheet. 

Feedback 3: Hi everyone! Visually appealing (super cute!), easy to use, and has all components of learning. I wonder if you have considered adding to this website so it's not just for learning colors? maybe you can build on this for the improvement part of the assignment :)

Action: 

• According to our theme and purpose of the website, we are only focusing on the color theme specifically right now.

Feedback 4: Suggestions for Improvements: I would suggest choosing between "kids and children" for consistency purposes. In my experience, using children is always more professional. (Meghan)

  New Learning:

  This week we focused as a group on editing our prototype according to the users' feedback. Through careful analysis of user feedback, we have gained valuable insights that will guide us in enhancing our website's usability, functionality, and overall appeal. Most Users valued interactive elements and engagement opportunities on the website. One user highlighted that we should explain more about what we are offering on our Home Page and I think that is very important for consistency and clarity. to explain what is Pod setup I took assistance from the AI tool- ChatGPT 3.5. I got this response:
