• Our character and sincerity, respect, and a strong bond with the knowledge and the people who are teaching.

• i) Respect for Teachers - Avoid sleeping, chatting with friends or eating in class while the person who is teaching you are speaking.

• ii) Don't be shy to say 'I don't know' - because admitting you don’t know something is better than giving incorrect information, and it is good to learn from mistakes.

• Necessities of etiquette in seeking knowledge are : -

• i) Shows respect for teachers and the learning process.

• ii) Reminding us that knowledge comes from Allah.

• iii) Gaining knowledge for the right reasons.

2) Al-Quran as the book of guidance

• From the word 'اقرأ' that means 'read'

• "The Recitation" in Arabic. It refers to the holy book of Islam, believed to be the words of Allah, revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through Angel Jibril.

• Ways to interact with Al-Quran (etiquette) : -

• Respect: Treat Quran with great respect, place it in a clean and higher position.

• Recitation: Recite the Quran with sincerity and proper pronunciation.

• Seek Guidance: Make dua for understanding and guidance while reading.

• Hadith :عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: بينما نحن جلوس عند رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ذات يوم، إذ طلع علينا رجل شديد بياض الثياب، شديد سواد الشعر، لا يُرى عليه أثر السفر، ولا يعرفه منا أحد. حتى جلس إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فأسند ركبتيه إلى ركبتيه، ووضع كفيه على فخذيه، ثم قال: يا محمد! أخبرني عن الإسلام. فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: الإسلام أن تشهد أن لا إله إلا الله، وأن محمدًا رسول الله، وتقيم الصلاة، وتُقْتِي الزكاة، وتصوم رمضان، وتحج البيت إن استطعت إليه سبيلاً. قال: صدقت. قال: فأخبرني عن الإيمان. قال: أن تؤمن بالله، وملائكته، وكتبه، ورسله، واليوم الآخر، وتؤمن بالقدر خيره وشره. قال: صدقت. قال: فأخبرني عن الإحسان. قال: أن تعبد الله كأنك تراه، فإن لم تكن تراه، فإنه يراك. قال: فأخبرني عن الساعة. قال: ما المسئول عنها بأعلم من السائل. قال: فأخبرني عن أماراتها. قال: أن تلد الأمة ربتها، وأن ترى الحفاة العراة، العالة رعاء الشاء، يتطاولون في البنيان. ثم انطلق، فلبثت مليًّا. ثم قال: يا عمر! أتدري من السائل؟ قلت: الله ورسوله أعلم. قال: هذا جبريل أتاكم يُعلمكم دينكم.

• The key Components : Discusses about the elements of Islam, Iman, and Ihsan , : -

• i) Islam - The five pillars include:

  • Shahadah

  • Salah

  • Zakah

  • Fasting

  • Hajj

• ii) Iman - The six articles of faith include:

  • Belief in Allah.

  • Belief in angels.

  • Belief in books. (Kitab)

  • Belief in prophets.

  • Belief in the Day of Judgment.

  • Belief in divine decree (Qadar).

• Ihsan : The concept of worshiping Allah as if you see Him, and knowing that He sees you.

• The Angel Jibril asked the Prophet Muhammad about Islam, Iman , and Ihsan.

1. Salah (Prayer)

• Fosters awareness of Allah, restrains from immortal behavior, and encourages obedience.

• Sincerity for Allah

• Fear of Allah

• Remembrance of Allah

2.Sawm ( Fasting)

• develops taqwa, empathy, and discipline.

  It helps believers draw closer to Allah.

• Rcognizing Allah's constant observation

• Weakening Satan’s influence

• Fostering acts of worship

3. Zakah

• Purifies wealth and self, fostering enerosity and reducing greed.

• Cleanses sins and bad traits

• Supports the needy

4.Hajj

• Disciplines believers to follow Allah’s commandments and abstain from prohibited acts.

• Ettiquettes:-

• Avoid indecent acts, disobedience, and

  disputes

• Stay devoted to worship and good deeds

Ibadah helps build moral discipline, strengthen taqwa, and purify the soul. By performing ibadah with sincerity, Muslims can earn Allah's pleasure.

On the Day of Judgment, the first thing a person will be judged on is their prayer. If their prayer is good, they succeed; if it's not, they fail, and their deeds are wasted.

Taharah

1. The body

• There should not be any najasah or impurity on his body

2. The clothing

• There should be no impurities that could invalidate the prayer, such as menstrual blood.

3.The place in which prayer is offered

• The place of prayer must be clean.

Khusyu'

• calmness, humility, fear and humbleness

• State of the heart characterized by humilty, submission and attentiveness to Allah during acts of worship, particularly in prayer.

Importance of khusyu'

• Khusyu' makes solat meaningful and spiritually fulfilling.

• Demonstrates complete submission and devotion to Allah

Effects of Khusyu'

• Increases mindfulness and discipline.

• Strengthens connection with Allah.

• Promotes inner peace and reduces stress.

• Rewards in the Hereafter: Acceptance of prayers and closeness to Allah

Khusyu' enhances the quality of solat and life. Make consistent efforts to improve khusyu'. Remember that Allah rewards efforts.

Why seek wisdom (hikmah)?

• To make sure our acts of worship (ibadah) are not in vain.

• It helps us make wise decisions, distinguish between good and bad, and understand the consequences of our actions.

1. Niat (Intention)

• teach us sincerity in every aspect of life it aligns our actions with our ultimate goal (seeking Allah’s pleasure)

• Importance: Even if an action is physically right, if the intention is wrong, it might not be accepted by Allah.

2. Amal (Action)

• our external actions, what we do. It must be based on the Qur'an and Sunnah

• It teaches discipline, patience, and responsibility.

• It encourages excellence in everything we do, whether in worship or in daily life.

3. Ihsan (Excellence in Worship)

• worshipping Allah as though you see Him. Even though you can’t see Him, know that He sees you.

• teaches humility, gratitude, and constant awareness of Allah’s presence.

By focusing on our intention, actions, and excellence, we can worship Allah with sincerity and do our best, gaining wisdom and making our actions valuable to Allah.

Salah

• The cornerstone of a Muslim’s daily life, a connection with Allah.

Khushuʿ

• A state of humility and focus in prayer, essential for spiritual success.

Maintaining khusyuk in all parts of prayer is sunnah for the completion and perfectness of the prayer.

Virtues

• Al-Ta ah (Submission/Loyalty)

  • Total obedience to Allah’s commands.

• Al-Jihad (Struggle in the path of Allah)

  • Striving for Allah’s cause,spiritually and morally

• Tawaddu (Humility/Humbleness)

  • Acknowledgment of one’s position as a servant of Allah.

• Muhasabah (Reflection)

  • Self-accountability and self-contemplation.

• Iffah (Modesty/self-restraint from sinful behaviour

  • Avoidance of sinful behavior and desires.

Salah with Khusyu' shapes a believer’s character and strengthens the

bond with Allah. The virtues cultivated through Ṣalāh permeate every aspect of life, leading to spiritual growth and success.

Fasting

• Restraining oneself

• Abstaining from hunger and thirst and avoiding things that invalidate fasting

Patience

• Authentic Hadith: Fasting is half of patience

• 3 types of patience:

  • Patience in obedience to Allah

  • Patience in avoiding Allah's prohibitions

  • Patience in bearing pain and enjoying happiness

Respect and Honor (Taqrim)

• Obedience to Allah's commands

• Seeking closeness to Allah

Mercy (Rahmah)

• Seeking Allah's mercy

• Reflecting on Allah's mercy

• Cultivating empathy and compassion

• Forgiving and making peace

Wisdom of Fasting

• Increase in piety (Taqwa)

• Taqwa (feeling of fear and awe of Allah)

• Self-discipline

• Training patience in avoiding lies

• Controlling desires

• Weakening the temptations of Shaytan

• Teaching moderation

• Promoting physical health

• Increasing gratitude

• Being concerned for the weak

Zakah

• One of the Five Pillars of Islam. It is obligatory for Muslims to observe. A means to grow closer to Allah SWT. It impacts individual and social life positively.

The Virtues of Zakāh :

• Tawakkul (Reliance on Allah)

• Training Muslims to rely on Allah SWT rather than material wealth.

• Assurance that Allah will replace what is given for His sake.

The Virtues of Zakāh :

• Ukhuwwah

• Fosters love, empathy, and unity among Muslims.

• Purifies society from envy and hatred.

Zakāh: Bridging Relationships

• Relationship with Allah SWT

• Relationship with fellow humans

• Combines spiritual and social dimensions

Zakah is both a financial and spiritual act of worship. It encourages trust in Allah (Tawakkul) and strengthens community (Ukhūwwah), helping to create a harmonious and righteous Muslim society.

I hope that i will istiqamah and always practice what did i learn from this usrah. Also, i wish that i can see all of usrah 19 again. Amin :D
