Effects of globalization

During the history, when the humans started to create their first societies, we had the ability to develop different commercial trades routes to exchange different products among others. Thanks to this evolution and the application of technologies, nowadays, the whole world is connected thanks to what we know as globalization. So, in other words, the globalization is the fact that different cultures and economic systems are connected to increase and grow the trade around the world. Globalization has brought us a lot of advantages in some aspects but also disadvantages. So, what are the effects of globalization?

First of all, if we analyze the benefits of this international movement…

In politics, we can see that with the globalization, the coexistence between the countries tends to be closer. So, with those relationships, we can see a better political organization thanks to organizations like (ONU; WHO…).

Also, this globalization helps to coexist different cultures, traditions, gastronomy, and even knowledge. Nations adopt principles, beliefs, and costumes of other nations. In the social aspect, the fact of having this worldwide connection, the information of each country moves faster and we can all see what happens in a real time, we can see the events among others. So, with those interactions societies tent to mix and integrate.

Furthermore, the commercialization is more present and we can have products of the countries of the world, we can have more varieties of products (ex. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, aromas…). This also decreases the prices and the costs of the productions, supports business to improve and grow in an international scale, among others.

If we talk about the people, the globalization helps to have a better movement of people on the world, offers the opportunity to travel to other places and find the ideal environment for your growth, you can find a job on other places, you can travel around the world…

On the technological side, thanks to the globalization, millions of people can connect to other places by using digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, telegram, among others.

On the economic side, the globalization has a big impact because it moves a lot of the aspects named before. Economic globalization makes a big development of trade systems with transnational actors of the world. Related to this, the financial globalization rises the financial system with international financial exchanges and monetary exchanges. Stock markets, for instance, are a great example of the financially connected global world since when one stock market has a decline, it affects other markets negatively as well as the economy as a whole.

However, the globalization has also some inconvenient that we also need to take into account.

The overproduction is a bad effect of these international trades because the humans have a lot of needs and limited resources, and this overproduction doesn’t let the earth regenerate. Consequently, for the environment it has very bad consequences, some of them are the pollution, the greenhouse effects, the big emissions of CO2 to the atmosphere…

Other environmental effects are the overfishing and deforestation, that destroys a lot of ecosystems. The glaciers are melting, the desertification, etc.

The coexistence that generates the globalization tens to be good but we need to take care because countries also fight for their own interests and this can create conflicts that are difficult to solve. Sometimes organize a group of counties is difficult because everyone has their own idea of things. Moreover, countries tend to specialize in their production to be more efficient, but this can create a big dependence on other countries and you lose the freedom of producing everything by your own. (ex. Technology on China, gas on Russia…)

Also, the fact of mixing different cultures can be good to know but sometimes little cultures can be lost by the presence of the big ones. Some identities can be lost. It also can happen with business.

In a social way, there are also some disadvantages because it can cause inequalities on the access to education, food, technologies. It can create a big difference between the rich countries and the poor ones.

In conclusion, globalization apports us a lot of benefits that helps our development as a big society in aspects like economy, easier production, among others but we also need to pay attention on those disadvantages which really affects our future like the environment.

Globalization is the process by business or other organizations la European Union, develop international influence or start operating on an international scale. So now we will see what are the effects of the globalization.

The first effect and I think the most important is the conexión between countries, this conexion let the countries have new products and variety from the world and this is a thing that we never though 40-50 years ago. The other beneficit is the taxes, if you have an agreement you pay less taxes and this is a facility for the tardes.

But there are also disadvantages like destruction of local shops because we bought very cheaper and bad quality so this local shops can’t fight against this prices and big companies. Another contra is the possibilty of a new virus like the Black Plague with the rats.

To add an effect, we can talk about developing countries, if we have the facilities of the transport but also the social help we can develop schools and hospitals, and form better persons a more prepareted for the future with a longer life expectancy. But the contra of this is the big difference of salaries that we can create and make rich people more richer

To finish we will talk about the ambient the mouvement of the area, with the globalization we can stimulate the tourism, make more money for the country and create work for the people of the country and create a Good image of the country and make more tourists come to visit. But this can generate a lot of damage of the environment, because people sometimes don’t take care of a new city because they think that’s not his country so they don’t need to take care and this could be a big problem.

For concluding we have seen the differents ascpects of the globalization with the pros and the contras, people need to make a change because globalization is better for everybody but only if we do it in the Good way.

Climate Change

Today, the word "climate change" is an aspect that is being worked on more and more, as it’s an important process to make the world a better place and prevent natural disasters in the future and not just natural ones, even the disappearance of the world population, where it’s a fact that everyone should keep in mind and try to avoid to prevent damage in the future, from the use of recycling or reducing the pollution that is done daily.

Every day, on various information channels, they are warning us that if we don’t start working on this aspect, in a few years, the sea will start to rise more, the air will be more and more polluting, acid rain will appear, to the point that there will be a great diversity of natural disasters, such as large-scale floods, droughts, earthquakes ..., among others.

The emergence of different bodies, such as "Greenpeace", helps to make people aware of the need to act on what is happening, and it must be done now. With reference to energy, renewable sources should be used, as it is proven that in 2019, 84% of the energy used in Spain came from non-renewable sources, such as fossil fuels or nuclear energy and is a big polluter, however, is that using energy from renewable sources can cause other problems, although it is much more favorable to use.

Another aspect to consider is deforestation and forest degradation, as they are one of the main causes of man-made, accounting for 25% of the total greenhouse gases worldwide, where we should reduce the felling of trees and look for other remedies, on the contrary, we are currently in a time when there is a shortage of a lot of raw materials, but a solution can always be found.

At the moment, with reference to Covid and the war, food security is in danger, as there are fewer and fewer resources and we will have to adapt to the situation we find ourselves in and therefore it’s important to be able to stock up of necessary food and having a necessary crop, to be able to avoid infections and unknown diseases in the future, however, it’s difficult to be able to carry a product out of its main space, but new technology can be a great help.

In conclusion, we must make the whole population aware that urgent change must be made to avoid catastrophes, be they environmental, social, economic ..., and all this will be possible if we all do it, where a major initiative is daily recycling, as a large percentage of the population does not or use public transport and the use of electric vehicles. If everyone takes the initiative, we will succeed.

Climate change

Climate change is the set of factors that affects directly to the planet.
These factors include the affection of the ecosystem, the pollution of land, ocean and nature, and others. People are getting aware, and society is adapting the main objects that we use in our days not to being as pollutive as the originals are, for example pencil made by recycled materials, recycled paper and now industry is changing plastic for cardboard.

The main problems are often the pollution of the oceans by plastics and polluting liquids. Dirt left by mankind in natural areas. Global warming causing our poles to melt.

All these problems can be solved either by making people aware of the dangers of littering, not recycling and being environmentally friendly. The only solution to this problem is to make people aware of the problem we have.

In my opinion there are a lot of solutions for these problems, but society does not want to change these habits because it is easier for them to keep doing what they do and I think it is all about politics.

Climate change

The climate change was started by the humanity and follows the line of the scientist progress. These changes affect to the Earth and destroy her biosphere but these changes will probably be goods in a future with the correct scientist progress. Nowadays, this topic is around you all the time with advertisements, events, shows or meetings. It’s everyone’s problem!

Frist of all, the world needs to change his/her mentality to develop news process to achieve the principal goal, Stop the climate change. Different Organizations started to create alliances to develop laws to apply in a future to reduce the pollution on the cities, industries and agriculture but this can create another effect, the positive will be the increase of the knowledge to control process of companies and the negative, the excessive prices for natural products and the increases of cost production.

Apart from that, if the world changes and, for example, the companies will apply ecological policies, the pollution must have reduced a lot and the prices the product produced by them will increase out of control.

In my opinion, the best change starts with the minimum change, the education, if the estate creates a radical change on the education, the new generation can be the best to develop news energies and strategies which protect the world and her biosphere.

Draft 1

The connected world

Globalization has been a process throughout history connecting the whole world, creating relationships and exchanges, increasing the world economy, connecting people and cultures. To the point where our society is now. An almost completely globalized society. This has been achieved thanks to trade routes such as the silk road connecting China and Europe in the Middle Ages and technological evolution.

Globalization has been in process for many years but what have been the consequences and benefits?

First of all, one of the most important benefits in this society is the extension of human rights. Signed in 1948 the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations Organization has become the international letter of human rights. Globalization is important in this issue because it spreads the rights but also serves to defend them, being a control against violations.

Secondly, we will have the great improvement in the quality of life, especially in developing countries. Globalization has managed to reduce extreme poverty by 35%, as the World Bank says. It has also made the prices of goods and services lower and thus more affordable for everyone. And thanks to the world trade system there is also a great variety of food from all over the world at lower and more affordable prices.

Finally, although the benefits are many and very important, the consequences are also visible, especially in the environment, which has been seriously affected by travel and mass production. Which have a very large expenditure of energy resources and many of them are pollutants. This amount of pollution directly affects climate change, causing the poles to thaw and temperatures to rise.

In conclusion globalization has improved the lives of many people and the list of benefits is longer than the list of consequences but even so the few consequences are serious. Although as the word globalization says we are all in this together, thanks to the technology that improves every day we can find a solution to take care of our planet.

The effects of globalization

Nowadays, the whole world have a fast connection thanks to the globalization.

This fact gave us a lot of advantages, but also some drawbacks that makes have social disadvantages, but which ones?

To begin with, one of the most important consequences of the globalization, is the international commercialization, which is more present. And thanks to it, we can have products of all the countries of the world, so we can have a lot of varieties of products that wouldn’t be able to achieve in our countries. This help to make prices more competitive by the lower costs of production and workers, between other pros like the quality of the content, making a international business grow up.

Besides, talking about social links, the coexistence of different cultures that generates the globalization sometimes can be dangerous because there are a lot of differences between countries, by the culture, religion, thoughts… and it happens occasionally some conflicts about it.

Also, we have examples of groups of countries that difficult the freedom of their neighborhoods, closing their frontiers to other countries for economical interests. So, apart of the bad consequences of globalization like have all the products from other countries or the contamination, they have a big problem with the isolation and poor possibilities of improvement of the local economy.

Otherwise, mixing different cultures make that little cultures get lost slowly by the big ones, and it happens also with the language, business…

And in a long term, this creates big differences on society between the poor and rich people, that in a lot of cases, are by the belonging differences.

Moreover, if we talk about transportation, the globalization helps to have better connection to travel by the world, with the opportunity to know the other cultures and learn about how’s the world out of your comfort zone.

The tourism it helps the countries for attract new people to spend money on their products and services. People go to interest zones with the objective of enrich their knowledge of history, culture, art, music, gastronomy, among others. And also gives life and dynamism to them.

But on the other hand, a lot of countries depend only for the tourism because they adapted to the consequences of being interesting for the tourist, doing more services than production, and it creates city’s that only have success when they are full of people.

Sometimes, it happens that this cities are overcrowded and is not pleasant to be there, and also, they finish being dirty.

This same thing happens with the technology, that thanks to the globalization, the advanced society’s that are able to internet, can be informed and connected in real time with people at the other side of the world. This generates a lot of pros, but also cons.

As I said above, the internet help the people who have it, to be informed about the news on the world, or some other things that happens to people that isn’t near to you, thanks to the social media, that helps us to be in contact with the people who is not on our day a day.

But it also happens bad thing like the disinformation. It was a piece of news a few years ago, that against Donald Trump’s presidency, appeared a lot of critics of the problem made by the fake news. That is a big problem to solve on the social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook… because the creators of this fake news, try to make thought people that are happening thing that are not real, and sometimes with politics interests.

Another bad thing on internet are the scams, that are more seen by the society because are very old on internet, but they still trying to catch us on new ways to take personal information or passwords that could be dangerous for us that may be stolen. Not to mention the possible virus coming from a simple click on a link on our screens.

Finally, we find on the globalization, a overproduction of the most sold products, that causes a bad effect of the international well-being because the humans have a lot of needs, but also limited resources to comply them. So, on the environmental way, we find deforestation, endangered species, destroyed ecosystems…

And in other consequence, the environment it has a bad impact from contamination caused by the pollution or the greenhouse effects.

In conclusion, analyzing globalization to the international situation, if we look the benefits, there are many who a few year ago were not in the minds of people that were possible to be realized.

But we also need to pay attention about those disadvantages that can be very dangerous for the future of humanity.

Most of the problems sometimes can’t being solved because of others. We continue creating cars that pollute, we still deforesting our natural areas and the production of plastic still being cheaper than other ones.

In my opinion there are a lot of solutions for these problems, but society does not want to change these habits because it is easier for them to keep doing what they do, and educate people is the difficult part of the process.

Effects of globalization:

At the beginning of history, between the 2000 and 3000 b.C, when humans started to create their first societies and civilizations, we could develop different commercial trade routes to exchange other products, goods and information. Thanks to this evolution during history, passing by different periods like the industrial revolution and the wars of the XVIII and XIX centuries, we could apply innovations in technologies and communication and discover other routes and migrations. Nowadays, the whole world is connected thanks to what we know as globalization. So, in other words, globalization is the fact that different cultures and economic systems are connected to increase and grow the trade around the world. Globalization has brought us a lot of advantages in some aspects like the economy and politics… but it also has some disadvantages. So, to know this situation better, we need to ask ourselves, what are the effects of globalization?

First of all, when we analyze the benefits of this international movement in politics, we can see that the coexistence between the countries tends to be closer to globalization. So, with those relationships, we can see a better political organization and the creation of different international organizations like WHO, and ONU, among others, to make sure that every country involved in it has the same right and obligations.

Consequently, of this globalization, the coexistence helps to have different cultures, traditions, gastronomy, and even knowledge. Nations adopt principles, beliefs, and costumes of other nations and can also unify countries, understand better the culture and have international knowledge. In the social aspect, the fact of having this worldwide connection, the information of each country moves faster, and we can all see what happens in real-time, we can see the events among others. So, with those interactions, societies tend to mix and integrate.

Furthermore, commercialization is a direct effect of globalization because, with this movement, we can afford products from countries around the world and have more varieties of products. Some clear examples of it are coffee, chocolate, the vanilla, among other exotic products. In this case, the products named before are from varied countries of the African and American continent, so if we hadn’t any commercialization, we never could introduce those foods into our diet. Moreover, the commercialization of products decreases the prices and the costs of the productions because we can benefit from cheap imports and a broader export market. Hence, businesses benefit from improving and growing internationally by importing or exporting through aircraft and maritime route trade.
When we talk about the people, globalization has influenced a better and free movement of people worldwide. It offers the opportunity to travel to other places, migrate and find different environments better for your growth, find a job in other locations, and travel worldwide. Thanks to globalization, the emergence and consolidation of new technology and social networks bring us the possibility of contact in real-time with any part of the planet. In other words, this has made millions of people connect to other places by using digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and telegram, among others, and improved our communication capacity.

Globalization has a significant impact on the economic side because it moves many aspects named before. Economic globalization makes a considerable development of trade systems and international commerce. Besides, financial globalization increases the financial system with international and monetary exchanges. Stock markets, for instance, are a great example of the financially connected global world since when one stock market has a decline, it affects other markets negatively as well as the economy as a whole. As we know, globalization is related to capitalism as an economic system based on the autoregulation of the markets, so globalization has developed economic liberty and, in some way, has elevated the standard of living. Also, it has accelerated the process of externalization, which can benefit big businesses by allowing them to explore and expand their businesses.

However, globalization also has some inconveniences that we should take into account. The overproduction has harmful effects because, naturally, humans have unlimited needs and limited resources. This overproduction doesn’t let the earth regenerate correctly. Consequently, for the environment, it has a significant impact on contamination; there are a lot of pollution, many emissions of CO2 gases to the atmosphere, and other gases that cause the greenhouse effects. In addition, other consequences caused by the greenhouse effect are that the glaciers are melting and the desertification. Overfishing and deforestation also affect the ecosystems because it is destroyed. If the animals are in danger of extinction, the food chain will be affected, and we will end up not having fauna and flora.

The coexistence that generates globalization tends to be good, but we need to be cautious because countries also fight for their interests, creating conflicts that are difficult to solve. Additionally, organizing a group of counties is difficult because everyone has their mentality, laws, and ways of making. Moreover, one of the effects of capitalism is that each country tends to specialize its production in some products. They localize the technologies, among others, to be more efficient, but this can create a significant dependence on other countries, and you lose the freedom to produce everything on your own. A clear example we have seen nowadays is de extensive technological dependence we have on China and the effects we have suffered by the stop of production caused by the pandemic. Russia is another country where many countries like Finland, Moldavia, Estonia, and others depend directly on Russian petrol. With the Ukrainian war, there are a lot of problems. Economically, big businesses overcome too to the medium and small companies, which are impaired by the lack of diversity and the creation of monopolies. At the same time, those big companies can abuse the workforce of underdeveloped countries, creating inequalities that badly affect human rights.

Also, mixing different cultures can be good to know, but sometimes little cultures can be lost by overcoming the big ones. Some identities can be lost, which retires the richness of cultural diversity. Socially, there are disadvantages because it can cause significant inequalities in access to education, food, and technologies. It can create a big difference between the rich countries and the poor ones.

In conclusion, globalization apports us many benefits that help our development as a big society in aspects like economy, politics, and culture, but we also need to pay attention to those disadvantages that affect our future like the environment. In other words, globalization is good and has positive effects but always if we are conscious of the limits.

Globalization is the process of interaction and integration among people, companies, and governments worldwide. Globalization has accelerated since the 18th century due to advances in transportation and communication technology. This increase in global interactions has caused a growth in international trade and the exchange of ideas, beliefs, and culture. However, globalization has generated a series of advantages and disadvantages that have occurred over time and that have been seen as a way to overcome limitations and offer contributions. However, it also has risks that are more noticeable every day.

So, we can ask ourselves, what are the effects of globalization?

This process has come with different advantages and disadvantages for our society especially in economy, the environment, in culture and for the human’s life aspects.

Globalization has been a way to improve a lot of aspects of humanity.

First of all, globalization has helped a lot of countries to improve their economy.

Globalization has allowed and improve the free trading of goods and services all around the world that has permitted everyone to have access. It has helped the national economies to integrate in a global economic system that allows different relationships between some countries and has helped them to provide themselves.

Due to the technological development has improved the way industries worked making them faster and effective when creating products. This has led to the decrease in production costs, that means that the companies will offer good at a lower price to their consumers and has increased the quality of the products.

All these processes have developed different jobs offers in the developed countries which has helped the unemployed people.

Secondly, this process has contributed to increase the cultural exchanges.

Thanks to the variety of communication channels improved by the globalization, many cultural exchanges have been created that had helped with the way people communicate between cultures. This process has also enhanced the tourist in the developed countries making people want to discover new cultures and learn from them. This leads to a global network of shared values between different cultures all around the world.

Finally, globalization has improved the way people relate.

Human relationships have improved since the start of this process and have been able to overcome different limitations, such as distance, thanks to technological development which allows them to be connected from wherever they are. It has also helped to have a better accessibility to exchange and access information of national and international interest, for example the agreements between countries.

However, globalization has come with some drawbacks and risk that are more noticeable every day.

Foremost, in economy. Developed countries with great potential and economic scope have prevailed over developing countries and smaller economies, this has helped to create a vast economic imbalance making the undeveloped countries unable to improved themselves. Globalization has also created an inequality between the citizens of a country, the larger companies have greater profits and financial capacity than the smaller companies and between citizens, the poor have become poorer and the rich have become richer.

Afterwards, in culture national identity can be negatively affected as a result of developed countries overcome their cultures on those of developing countries, through a massive commercial and media push. The minor languages are being forgetting and lost due the overcoming cultures and traditions are being modified by them incorporating new customs from other countries.

At last, for the social aspect social inequality has limited the access and use of various educational technological and economic resources in many social groups living in poverty, for example poor families have not the resources to provide their kids with a computer to do the homework asked at schools online. Globalization has increased the number of confrontations between social groups that search to claim their social values, religion and cultural values.

In addition, another aspect that has been negatively affected by globalization, is the environment. This process has come with a lot of issues for the environment such as the melting of the polar ice caps due the increase of greenhouse gases which has led to the rising of the sea level. Many forests are being destroyed to implant different industries at their place. The water is being more contaminated due to the waste thrown into the sea and the rivers. Many ecosystems are being deteriorated due the contamination and more and more biodiversity is being lost.

In conclusion, globalization is a process that have come with many beneficial aspects for our societies helping to improve in many economic and social aspects. It has helped improve our economies and the way people interact. However, this has also brought many disadvantages such as the loss of many retail cultures and also in the economic aspect. As far as the environment is concerned, globalization has been devastating, causing it to deteriorate more and more. In my opinion, globalization has been a necessary process to improve many aspects of our lives, but today we should ask ourselves if this process is still helping us or harming us?

Climate change is the effect of irresponsible human behaviour.

After the Industrial Revolution, a new model of production and consumption was created, which has caused large companies to generate increasingly damaging effects on planet Earth. In the meanwhile, it is difficult to find new ways of doing everything that affects the ecosystems and the atmosphere.

Despite the fact that nowadays people are becoming conscious of taking preventive measures to put down climate change. There is a major lack of knowledge about the importance concerning the when and the why. A key step in solving this critical challenge is to recognise the drivers that contribute to its existence and its increasingly damaging effect. The main cause of climate change is global warming and it has multiple disruptive consequences on physical, biological and human systems, among others.

Global warming is the result of exposure to Greenhouse Gases, exponential population growth, destruction of ecosystems and deforestation. Consequently, the impacts are becoming significant and more evident to all of us. Equally, the increase in global temperature caused by greenhouse gas emissions, which is leading to more frequent and more worrying variations in the climate. The melting of the poles is leading to a rise in sea levels that could destroy the Earth as we know it. In the same way, meteorological phenomenons are becoming more violent and we are confronted with situations that we would never have thought of, such as desertification, ocean acidification and mass migrations.

All these consequences have one common factor, and that is that not only is global warming the most important thing, but it is most likely that as a result of all these factors, animal and plant species, including our own species, will end by being destroyed. Therefore, the possible solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change are to take measures now to prevent and control harmful emissions. As such, we can find possible remedies such as investing in renewable energies, promoting energy efficiency and implementing efficient means of transport.

As far as I am concerned, I can say that although there is still a lot of work to be done because it is difficult to do what we have been doing all our lives in the current way, society is becoming more aware every day and more actions are being implemented in order to make climate change a fixed event over time.

These changes affect to the Earth and destroy her biosphere but these changes will probably be better in a future with the correct scientist progress.

Certainly, the changes which are possible always have double effect positive and negative.

Globalization is the process by business or organizations like European Union or Mercosur, who develops international influence or start operating on an international scale to try to have a better way of living. This links between countries or organizations has a repercution between differents countries or territories. So now we will see what are the effects of the globalization.

The first effect and I think the most important is the conexion between countries, this conexion let the countries have new products and variety from the world and this is a thing that we never though 40-50 years ago. The other beneficit is the taxes, if you have an agreement you pay less taxes and this is a facility for the trades, so this make more mouvement of products.

The traffic of person who goes to new countries for study or work.

If we use it to make bad acts this links and deals would be broken.

Draft 2

The connected world

Globalization has been a process throughout history connecting the whole world, creating relationships between countries and exchanges, increasing the world economy, connecting people and cultures.

Secondly, we had a great improvement in life quality, especially in developing countries.

This amount of pollution directly affects climate change, causing the poles to thaw and temperatures to rise. indeed we are killing the planet

In conclusion globalization has improved the lives of many people and the list of benefits is longer than the list of consequences but even so the few consequences are serious ad dangerous for us. Although as the word globalization says we are all in this together, so if we work all together to solve this consequences we can take care of our planet. we just have to be more careful with our planet.
