Geoengineering is a mitigation method where technology is used to manipulate/reduce the effects from the enhanced greenhouse effect, typically by increasing the amount of radiation reflected back into space. However, many of these are still theoretical and some argue that it doesn't solve the root cause of the enhanced greenhouse effect which is higher greenhouse gas emissions due to anthropogenic activities.

Examples of geoengineering methods include space mirrors, high albedo crops, painting rooftops white, spraying aerosols into clouds to increase reflectivity etc.

Geoengineering involves manipulating the Earth's environmental systems to counteract the impacts of climate change

Examples I forgot: carbon dioxide removal, carbon capture and storage, land use management, increasing absorption by oceans (by fertilising oceans with nitrates)

Due to climate change, there has been less snow cover in recent years and it is expected that the amount of snow will continue to decrease. Low altitude resorts are already suffering with a shorter period where snow is available so resorts have adapted by making artificial snow (although this does increase ski lift prices so it is expected that skiing will soon be isolated to the wealthy)

Indigenous groups in Canada (Iniuts) live in the Nunavut province and have strong connections with nature. Thus, climate change is affecting their own traditions, culture, artifacts and livelihoods. For example, many of the Iniut elders have observed weather patterns for decades, but this culture is gradually declining as unpredictable weather patterns make it harder for this. Although more ice is melting during the summer, opening up more shipping routes in the arctic which could benefit the Inuit economically, the unstable ice makes it harder for traditional transportation methods, such as <del>sledding </del>traditional snowmobile. The freeze-thaw patterns has also damaged the runway there, which is problematic as the Inuit rely on air transport to receive food supplies, as traditional hunting and fishing methods for food has become unreliable due to climate change. Tourism may also be affected, as the permafrost protected many ancient artifacts which are of interest to many people and these are now beginning to be damaged.

- zoonotic diseases are expected to rise
