my grandparents hang out with mostly everyone as long as they could speak malay

my father hang out with everyone regardless of race and he learnt how to speak chinese from them
my mother,from a madrasah school,(religious school) hang out with arabs and malays as those were the only ones in her school,there were no chinese

There were more Chinese, but still bak in the kampong, there will still some malays living with them. When they are young, they use to play games like catching, hide and seek. They share food with one other and show concern. Neighbours help one another.

my father, despite being indian, has many chinese, malay, indian (etc) friends. he mentioned to me he was friends with most of them since primary school.
my mother is pretty similar to him, although when she was young, she said she did not have that many friends from other races, but things are different now from back then. i noticed she has many colleagues from different races and religions.
