Arcane is a series based on a game called league of legends produced by Riot Games in conjunction with Netflix but to be honest the game and the series only have the characters in common nothing else The story takes place in Zaun and Piltover with Jinx/powder as the main character but sometimes in the series the point of view changes to other characters, Vi being the older sister of the main character, Isha being an adopted sister or daughter for Jinx ,Jayce and Victor being scientsits and ekko being the leader of the revolution. The series tells the story of the sisters Jinx and Vi after a fight between Zaun and Piltover they lose their parents and are adopted by their close friend Vander, as well as the war that Zaun has against Piltover to try to achieve freedom we will see the development with a lot of drama between the progress of the cities and each of the sisters choosing a side in this cold war as well as the development of the two. The series is extremely captivating it has two seasons and great visual graphics as well as a good soundtrack the development and fluid and as much as it a complex story was easy to understand the way it is distributed in the series all the characters are extremely detailed both physically and emotionally in my opinion a series that is very worth watching.

Peaky Blinders

This series is about gangs, crime, and period drama.

It tells the story of Peaky Blinders, a gang run by the Shelby family and their own business; in the first season, their business is horse racing, but as the season develops, their business expands, and they eventually start owning pubs. For example in London. We can see clearly how business starts progressing, when Thomas Shelby, the main character, is transporting sapphires instead of money. The main characters are the Shelby brothers: Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy), Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson), John Shelby (Joe Cole), Ada Shelby (Sophie Rundle), and Polly Gray (Helen McCrory).

Personally, I enjoy everything: the plot and the soundtrack are remarkable, and the costume design is also perfect. But the last seasons are a bit boring, especially because some extremely important characters die and Thomas Shelby passes from being a happy, charismatic, strategic man to a very sad and sometimes emotionally impulsive man. But still, he keeps the business on track, especially since the only thing he cares about is money.

In my opinion, this series is 10/10, even though it gets boring in the last seasons. I extremely recommend watching it, especially because it's my fifth time watching it.

Martim Gil n°13 10°I

Breaking Bad - Margarida Ferreira, Rodrigo Coelho e José Soares ; 10°I

Breaking Bad is one of the most gripping, intense, and brilliantly written series ever made. Is a suspense, drama and crime series that tells the story of Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who gets diagnosed with terminal cancer. Faced with financial struggles and the fear of leaving his family with nothing, he makes a drastic decision: to sell methamphetamine. What starts as a desperate move, quickly spirals into something much darker.

Walter teams up with his former student, Jesse Pinkman, a small-time drug dealer who has no idea what he’s getting himself into. As they navigate the dangerous world of the drug trade, Walter transforms from a mild-mannered teacher into a ruthless, calculating kingpin. Along the way, they cross paths with unpredictable criminals, terrifying drug lords, and law enforcement.

The series was created by Vince Gilligan and stars Bryan Cranston, who plays Walter White, and Aaron Paul, who plays Jesse Pinkman. Walter starts off as a guy you sympathize with, but as the seasons progress, you’re left questioning whether you’re still rooting for him or just watching his inevitable downfall. Jesse, on the other hand, brings so much heart to the show, and his struggle between loyalty, guilt, and survival makes for one of the most emotional character arcs on TV.

The stunning cinematography and the unforgettable performances, are what I absolutely loved about this series. And, of course, because of its plot twist. Since it’s my favourite series of all time, for me, there aren’t bad aspects, or something that I didn’t like.

The magic of Breaking Bad is how it pulls you in. It’s not just about crime, it’s about power, morality, and how far someone will go to get what they want. Whether you're into suspense, drama, or just love a show that keeps you on edge, this one is a must-watch. If you haven’t seen it yet, you definitely should!

Alexa & Katie, Sara Militão

Alexa & Katie is a heartfelt and uplifting teen sitcom that aired on Netflix from 2018 to 2020. Created by Heather Wordham, the show follows two best friends, Alexa Mendoza (played by Paris Berelc) and Katie Cooper (played by Isabel May), as they navigate high school while dealing with Alexa’s battle with cancer.

One of the show's biggest strengths is it's sensitive and realistic portrayal of a teenager going through cancer treatment. Unlike many teen series that focus solely on romance or drama, Alexa & Katie brings depth by exploring resilience, friendship, and family dynamics in a relatable way.

The show also succeeds in maintaining a lighthearted and humorous tone despite it's serious subject matter. The comedic elements, often driven by Alexa and Katie’s antics, keep it engaging for younger audiences without taking away the emotional weight of the story.

While the show is uplifting, it sometimes leans too much into predictability and idealized resolutions. The humor, though charming, can feel a bit unnatural, relying on classic sitcom tropes. Additionally, the secondary characters, like Lucas (played by Emery Kelly) and Dylan (played by Jack Griffo), sometimes lack depth, often serving as mere background elements rather than fully developed figures in Alexa and Katie’s journey.

Overall, I really liked watching Alexa & Katie as it's a wholesome and inspiring series that successfully balances humor and emotional depth. While it may not break new ground in storytelling, it's genuine performances and positive messages make it a standout in the teen sitcom genre. That's why I would recommend it to my friends, who are a younger audience rather than someone as old as my pare

nts.

The Night Agent - Julia e Teresinha

The Night Agent is a gripping political thriller on Netflix, based on Matthew Quirk’s novel. The story follows Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent assigned to monitor a rarely used emergency phone in the White House basement. When the phone finally rings, he finds himself entangled in a dangerous conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government.

The series excels in keeping viewers hooked with its fast-paced action, suspenseful twists, and high-stakes espionage. Gabriel Basso delivers a compelling performance as Peter, balancing intelligence and vulnerability, while Luciane Buchanan adds depth as Rose Larkin, his reluctant but resourceful ally. The action sequences are well-executed, and the mystery unfolds in a way that keeps the audience engaged.

However, while the show is undeniably entertaining, it does follow familiar thriller tropes. Some plot points feel predictable, and certain characters—especially the villains—could have been developed further. Additionally, the pacing lags slightly in the middle episodes before picking up again toward the finale.

Despite these minor flaws, The Night Agent is a binge-worthy series for fans of political thrillers like 24 and Jack Ryan. It may not break new ground in the genre, but its intense storytelling, engaging performances, and well-crafted suspense make it a must-watch for those who love action-packed conspiracies.
