Many of us are already aware of the problems we are facing with life below water. People are the main cause of the problem but they can also be the solution. Our oceans, dams, rivers and lakes are polluted every day by humans dumping their garbage into the oceans, river, lakes and dams. When they pollute, the fishes swallow all the garbage or some get caught in it but either way it leads to their death. Industrial waste also plays an important role in water pollution along with oil spills. Industrial and manufacturing factories releases multiple dangerous chemicals that goes into our rivers and leads to the oceans. Life under water then swallow and swim in these chemicals and it will eventually lead to the extinction of life under water.

Poverty entails more than the lack of income and productive resources to ensure sustainable livelihoods. Its manifestations include hunger and malnutrition, limited access to education and other basic services, social discrimination and exclusion as well as the lack of participation in decision-making .Poverty often causes people to place more pressure on the environment which results in larger families, malnourishment, disabilities etc. The group which I am within has selected Poverty as an SDG. Poverty plays a huge role within the lives of infants and adults as it causes negative and long-term effects. I would educate the children on the effects and terminology surprising poverty as well as how to overcome poverty. Zite Damonse People that lives in poverty don’t necessarily have an idea of what is happening in the society and don’t have enough understanding of knowledge to see that poverty isn’t a good state of living, but that is unfortunately the only way people see themselves. The children that attend schools need to learn in Life Skills what poverty is, what they can do to get out of it and what kind of impact it has in the society and by doing a poster on poverty in the class on those highlighted topics we can broaden the children’s minds from a young age. Poverty impacts the environment negatively because it causes high death rates as well as high birth rate. There is a difficulty meeting community needs which often leads to more pressure put on the environment, over exploitation of soils and deforestation. Poverty causes pollution, air pollution, water pollution and earth pollution. Poverty is a very big and important aspect to look at when looking Environmental Education. Poverty is a state and condition in which people or a community lack financial resources and essential for a minimum standard of living.

Poverty does not only affect individuals but because of poverty there are certain disadvantages and problems that families as whole go through. In the concept of poverty, health plays a pivotal role. The poor are more likely to have many kinds of health problems, including infant mortality, earlier adulthood mortality, mental illness and those poor people are more likely to receive inadequate medical care.

Poverty prevents children from having a good education and receiving adequate schooling.

Children who privileged to go to school and have adequate schooling need to learn about poverty , what poverty is and also importantly all the disadvantages of poverty and how it affects communities and the environment. Poverty in general affects standards of living, health, education and society. Often children are discouraged from education because parents think it’s a wiser option for them to start with a small wage work to bring money into the family for expenses. Hence these children are deprived from proper education and many opportunities that comes with having an education.
