I think that integrating technology with emergent bilinguals can be a very useful tool in assisting them with their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. There are many sites that can be used by the students independently and there are also sites that provide the opportunity to do whole class instruction. The underlying factor in getting to use technology for emergent bilinguals and other students within the classroom is the amount of access the school has to technology. By finding ways for students to access technology early on, the more successful they will be in the future. 
By using technology, emergent bilinguals will not only have the opportunity to further their language skills but they will also be able to practice using critical thinking skills, collaborating with others, communicating, and creativity through a variety of projects and activities. The SAMR model looks at the ways teachers are providing technology opportunities for their students within the classroom. The goal for teachers is to go from using technology for enhancement to transformation.
