Empire State Building is one of the major symbols of the city of New York. With its 443m height it was the tallest building in the world between 1931 and 1967.
In 2000 it became one of the seven wonders of the world.
The project for the construction of the new building was entrusted to the Lamb&Harmon studio with the intention of hosting the numerous offices of the growing businesses of the city.
The inauguration ceremony was held on May 1, 1931. It took 1 year and 45 days to build it.
The building has 102 floors.
