We have had all 3 of our children walk through your doors and into your arms. They all left as better forms of themselves. You have taught each of them so much. They have learned the beginning stages of middle school, how to study, how to change classes, how to challenge themselves and you guided them into the journey to find out who they are. Silas is the best school with the greatest teachers and 6th grade is one of the hardest years. There is really no thank you we can give to really compensate for all you have done. I have tears in my eyes as this is the end of the Clarks and Silas. This is not the way we wanted it to end, but you have all made it easier. A couple of days ago I went and visited Silas. There the memories flooded my mind. Dear beloved Silas Wood teachers, No words can express my gratitude towards you, but I can try. Sometimes, you don't know how much you love something until it is no longer available to you. Three months ago, if you would’ve told me I wouldn’t be going to school for the rest of the year, I probably would’ve expressed my intense joy by throwing a ridiculous party. As a “dream” turns into a reality, I must say I couldn’t miss Silas wood more. Thank you for everything. Yes, even the tests and quizzes. During this time, I feel that many people, both children and adults, are filled with such gratitude towards not only our health care workers and police men, but teachers. If you don’t feel the gratitude, just watch the commercials . Somehow, our separation seems to make us closer in a way, and when the day finally comes when we reunite, even if I am in a different grade, will be one of the greatest days I’ve seen in awhile.
