Each organism plays an important role in the food chain. For example, if the walleye population decreases, the trout population will increase because there are less walleyes to eat them. This also means that the chubs would decrease because there are more trout. In the food chain, the trout and walleye will directly impact eachother. However, the chub and walleye are indirectly connected. They do not directly affect eachother, but they can still affect each other.

Sea Lamprey are causing the Trout Population to decline because they reproduce quickly and do not have main predators. We know this because we found proof that they are not in their natural habitat, we dissected them and found a lot of eggs, and there are coin-sized wounds on the Trout and other big fish.
