         <description><![CDATA[<p>Lesser Slave Lake, Alberta was the place in which Treaty 8 was signed, this treaty was unique primarily because the Treaty commissioners had made decision based on adhesions at all of the trading posts rather than negotiating other treaties. This treaty was signed on June 21, 1899 meaning that there was almost a 22 year gap between Treaty 7 and Treaty 8. </p>]]></description>
