The redesign plan focused on elements such as lighting, turf, and the placement of ticketing facilities, concessions, and bleachers. Jeffrey Alger also enhanced student welfare through the implementation of Academy of Health Sciences standards designed to educate participants in areas such as physical education and medicine, as well as provide career preparation. He additionally set in place a student-centered co-educational curriculum at the high school and junior high levels that emphasize lifelong fitness.
