By using some SBT meetings with all teachers + EAs present to review each student's stretches across academics, SEL and behaviour, we chose clear K-12 themes in each area to focus on. Writing is a theme to work in, so we've put together school wide writes, focus in staff meetings on writing and prioritizing pro. d. in that area. Melanie's work has been deeply appreciated.

We have much to do around Numeracy still in terms of a school wide assessment. We do have commitment around doing classroom based assessment to gather data and drive interventions as a part of our class profile work. In Literacy we are engaging school wide writing assessments to track the progress of our students writing school wide. To anchor the writing assessments we plan some collaborative level markin.

We are still working toward a school wide collection of data. We have data consolidated into groups of data and summarized on a single page to capture broader trends (FSA, School wide writes, SLS etc.) The class room level profiles are another source of data consolidation.

Applying for collaboration to aligning teaching resources with ELP assessment

I am hoping we can pull a team together around Numeracy with some real release time for teachers to move forward on an item around school wide assessment, classroom level strategies, common language etc. We have two teachers who have recently completed their masters work with a focus on mathematics and literacy. Really hope we can leverage this learning into the whole staff.
