         <description><![CDATA[<div>Joe Buccino is an experienced military officer and United States Army Veteran. He graduated with a bachelor of arts in United States History from the State University of New York (SUNY) in Albany. He joined the United States Army as a second lieutenant in field artillery. Currently, Joe Buccino serves as the director of communications for the United States Central Command, where he strategizes and executes media campaigns, including writing speeches and posture statements presented at press conferences.<br><br>In 2021, Joe Buccino was a colonel and the public affairs officer for the 18th Airborne Corps. While acting in this position, he oversaw the organization and management of media teams and orchestrated platforms to improve organization and innovation on a national scale. This includes Dragon's Lair, a Shark Tank-style event that allows all military branches to pitch ideas on innovative new tech to improve the quality of service members' working conditions.<br><br>As the producer and host of this event, he assembled a panel of experts to review ideas directly from soldiers facing different problems which they innovate solutions for. Beyond his professional accomplishment, Mr Buccino is passionate about theater. He is an avid reader of military history. He is writing a novel titled Burn The Village To Save It about a platoon in Vietnam and is open to using his creative talents in other pursuits.<br><br></div>]]></description>
