  •  Some people may think that the decorations are excessive but personally, to me i think that the decorations is perfectly fine as national day is only once a year so it would be normal to go all out. But i believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions however i may come to believe that to the older generation they may value the decorations much more than the younger generations.

Since these toys are made up from technology, it would allow them to learn coding from a young age and learn how to make use to technology. I also feel that the children felt satisfied as they are able to play games with their peers with a new type of toy. Which might entertain them for a while. 
    b) Personally I feel that it good for children to learn new skills from a young age as it might help them in future. Since the world is developing at a quick pace which means new skills would be needed to be learned. Having children learn new skill from young like coding or other technology related skill would help children to be more prepared for the developing world which will include plenty of technology. For example, there was a research done in Brazil where children from the school of Brazil done an experiment on this topic. As a result children who had learnt new skill while they were younger allowed them to be able to do well in the developed society. Hence, I feel that children should learn new skills since young.
    c) Personally, I don’t think that secondary school student should not only focused on their studies, they should also have other activities as it helps them to relieve stress. By learning how to dance or other activities or sports this would allow students to relieve stress via sports. When students are not given the chance to relieve, they might not even be able to improve their grades as they are stressed over scoring good grades .     (b) National Day is a holiday when my parents and I take the time to bond and rest. We will usually watch the National Day Parade because as an NPCC cadet, I've always dreamt of marching in the parade. Recently, I was offered to match in this year's National Day Parade however, due to my O levels, I am not allowed to march in NDP. I will not have the time to study for my examinations. But not to fret, my family and I will definitely watch the National Day Parade this year.

    (c) I believe that National Day is not just a day for Singaporeans to celebrate their nation's birthday, it is also a day when Singaporeans set aside everything to celebrate their achievements, and look back with pride at the nation's growth from year to year, recalling key national moments that will stay in their hearts and minds. We would watch the live show on tv while inviting our extended family over to have a feast. To me, it gives me the great opportunity for me to catch up with my cousins and relatives.     B) Singapore’s National Day is like a holiday for me and my family. We would usually relax at home and watch the National Day parade on television. We would also usually go to Marina Bay Sands to watch the fire works. It makes me feel excited to see the fireworks with my family. I think the thing I am most grateful for would be that I live in a country that makes me feel safe. When I watch all those who are in national service or police and how they March out, it makes me feel safe and secure on how they are here to protect us. Hence National Day is really meaningful to me and my family.
    C)personally I strongly believe that it is important for countries to celebrate National. It allows us to see and celebrate how far we have all come together as a country and how we shall all continue to prosper. It enhances our sense of gratefulness. I feel that evryone should get involve and celebrate their country together. Perhaps other countries could also do just like what Singapore is doing.     Qa.) I feel like they would think that the National Day decorations are about commemorating Singapores history and its development as a country. This is because although predictable to some who have experienced the NDP celebrations, I feel that they do this to educate younger generations and get them to understand our development as a nation and to also build up respect and harmony as well as their love for Singapore as they grow older. Not just the younger generation but also foreigners who are integrating into Singapore society.  Hence that what I think people would feel.

    Qb.)  To me and my family, now, the celebrations don’t really mean much because, we already feel that appreciation and love for our own country and we don’t need these feelings to be supported in me by watching the celebrations. But from another point of view my family and I see it was a way to bond together as a family, watching the fireworks from our balcony window and watching the performances in the television. We also would invite our relatives over to watch together. To us, it’s a tradition to do it every year. So to me in the context of instilling that love and appreciation for Singapore, it isn’t that meaningful but in the context of family, it’s very meaningful.

    Qc.) I think it is very important because, it is a way to harmonise as a society. It is also a way to instil one’s appreciation for their own country, and to remind people of where they came from, the struggles they faced as a nation and how they overcome it. It is also a way for people to celebrate their nations achievements like winning the World Cup or how they became the number one country with the best economy or even education system because these achievements are a huge milestone for one’s own country.

    Qa.)  I think they feel excited as they are playing around with the toy especially since they toys are moving around by themselves. If I was a kid and experience self moving toys, I would be excited as it feels like these toys have come to life. Something from a Toy Story movie. Coding is a brand new topic and the introduction of coding would make the children ecstatic. However, I am aware that new things could scare children. Having this activity would help build courage and bravery in the children that they would lack thereof.

    b) I think that it is the best time for children to learn new skills. To me, life is way too fast-paced. Therefore, children need to keep up with this fast-paced life by learning new skills early. Without these skills, they would fall off in life and be behind others who would develop new skills early. As for my own experience, I regretted not wanting to learn chinese earlier in my life during my preschool days. Now, I am struggling with chinese while others are fluently speaking chinese smoothly like butter. Hence, I think it is paramount for children to develop new skills early as without them, they would fall off in life as they did not attain the skillset needed for success that others have.

I think that they would be shocked because it is not common to see that people go all out to put up National Day decorations. The people are used to just seeing people hanging the Singapore flag or the parapets of the HDBs so when they encounter such excessive decorations for National Day they will be rather shocked and surprised.

    b) National Day is usually a really special occasion for my family and I as we usually gather at the beach dressed in red and white. When it starts to get dark, we would drive up to Marina Bay Sands to catch the National Day fireworks. During this day, my older generation relatives will start to reminisce the olden days where they used to live in a kampong all the antique games they used to play like chapteh, five stones and many others to keep them entertained as kids. As last time there was no such thing as Twitter, Instagram or YouTube to keep them entertained as technology was not advanced during their time. This will then pull us closer as a family as I can see the joy on their faces when they tell the stories about their way of life back in the day where everything was not yet mordernised.

Within a blink of an eye, you turned from a child to a teenager even before you realized it. Once you are a teenager and you learned about how society works, you started to regret not doing something earlier when you are a child and that something is exposed to certain skills like coding as shown in the video.As a child,some skills you learned in school are just a small source of entertainment and knowledge added into ur barin but little did you know that it is very helpful and useful in the future if you learn and practice skills at a very young age.For example, secondary students who are taking o or n level that year apply for early admission exercise to their post-secondary tertiary that helps them to earn a place in the course they wanted to get in so badly. Most require students to showcase a portfolio to prove to the lecturer in charge of that specific course you are very interested in the course and is very passionate about joining in. That was the moment when you can show ur past achievements over the years which include the skills u pick up/learnt as a child to the lecturer and impress them. This does not only apply to getting into post-secondary tertiary but also applying for an internship as an adult and being required to show a portfolio to ur future manager or boss.

    c)I personally had to disagree with the statement mentioned.
