It is an Inca city within a place of great beauty, located in the mountains of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu, surrounded by temples, platforms and water channels, built on the top of a mountain in the middle of a tropical forest, the sanctuary of Machu Picchu was probably the most impressive architectural construction of the Inca Empire in its heyday of the Inca Pachacuteq characterized by getting to develop the expansion of the territory of the Tahuantinsuyo with the conquest of several lands and towns. Among his realization of machupicchu stands out the construction of its walls, terraces and gigantic ramps that give the impression of being sculpted in the steep rocks of the place. Its construction was made with large stone blocks joined together, with perfect symmetry. It is currently recognized as an important political, religious and administrative center of the Inca period. The citadel promises a great experience to live, thanks to its beautiful landscapes and impressive Inca infrastructure.MEANING
Its name comes from Quechua, MACHU "old" PICCHU "mountain or peak" which means "Old Mountain", built by the Incas in the mid-15th century during the government of Emperor Pachacútec, achieving the greatest expansion of the Inca empire.

LOCATION OF MACHU PICCHU
Machu Picchu is the site of an ancient Inca city, high in the Andes of Peru. Located at 2430 meters above sea level, Machu Picchu is known as "The Lost City of the Incas". It is one of the most famous and spectacular archaeological sites in the world. The natural setting, located on the eastern slope of the Andes, is part of the upper Amazon basin, which has a very varied flora and fauna. That make the visit to Machu Picchu more impressive.

CLIMATE OF MACHU PICCHU
Although we know that the climate of Cusco is very varied depending on the months throughout the year according to the seasonal changes, it is also true that there are two constant seasons that are maintained from January to December: if you are under the sun you will have heat - usually during the day - and if you are in the shade you will be cold - on cloudy days and at night.

To be more specific, the climate in Cusco and the climate in Machu Picchu are characterized by being divided into two seasons: the rainy season (December - April) and the dry season (May - November).

Sergio Cahuich
