         <description><![CDATA[<p>This is important because with the increase in impervious surfaces being used in urban construction, there has also been increased runoff which contributes to flooding in periods of heavy rainfall and potential flood damage to urban infrastructure. </p><p>People in urban centers will care because if the urban parks are able to absorb and control some storm water runoff, then there will be less likely hood of flooding of city centers and public areas.</p>]]></description>
