Evolution

This photo represents evolution in several ways. The evolution of intelligence is represented by the club, spear, and the smart phone in the humans hand at the end of the photo, as it shows the rising awareness of protection and connection. Another way, this photo represents evolution is through the evolution of posture as the younger generation emerges in the photo, you will notice they are taller and becoming more human like than the last one. The evolution of clothes shows that as the ape becomes more human like they lose the fur that keeps them warm so clothes were made as a way to adapt and evolve when they had no fur. As they become more human, the characteristics that made them apes became less prominent, and the characteristics that made them human became more prominent. Overall, this photo represents the very complex and intricate evolution process from the ape to the birth of humanity.

Hericium erinaceous or Lion’s Mane is known as a mushroom that brings many healthy benefits to those who consume it. This website tells us more about lion’s mane mushrooms, as well as the health benefits and the skepticism that comes from the purchasers. The article starts out by explaining what lions mean is, how it sold, the benefits you may get from consuming it, and the percentage of people who don’t think it’s good to use. It continues by explaining why people are skeptical of this mushroom, because it hasn’t been tested on humans. The article provides a few examples of scientific studies on the effects of lion’s mane in humans as a way to give more evidence of the healthy benefits of lions. The results of the studies showed that taking lion’s mane extract helped improve a person’s mood by reducing stress and giving them a renewed sense of happiness and motivation, However, the consequences were mild, a 60-120 minute wait for the lion’s mane to take affect, and it isn’t as effective on younger people as it is with older people. The article concludes by suggesting that even though the studies have shown very positive results for lion’s mane consumption, it is best to speak to your doctor about taking it as those who are allergic to lion’s mane are advised to avoid it at all costs.

This website explains the process of homeostasis with a few illustrations and examples. The article continues by giving a definition of homeostasis. The article talks about some of the systems that rely on homeostasis, such as blood sugar and proteins. The article continues by giving an example of homeostasis through the process of feedback control. The website also gives a definition of homeostasis vs allostasis. After that, there is an explanation of how homeostasis works and what mechanisms make it work. A small portion about feedback regulation follows after that, Then it explains why homeostasis is so important, and how the body maintains homeostasis. The article concludes by stating how it applied the key takeaways and answering questions about homeostasis.

https://www.webmd.com

The diseases of the respiratory system

The article states what it will outline, which is the respiratory anatomy and the other attributes that contribute to diseases, such as asthma, lung, cancer, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The respiratory anatomy and physiology consist of a bronchial tree, pulmonary ventilation, respiration, external respiration and control of breathing. Respiratory failure is when lung function does not match the metabolic demand. The main causes of respiratory illnesses are infection, smoking, pollution, and airway sensitivity. Pneumonia is a lower respiratory infection that is a result of exposure to a pathogen lung. Cancer is the growth of tumors in the lungs. Asthma is a condition of people with hypersensitive airways, this condition causes reversible inflammation in the bronchial tubes and produces a wheezing sound. COPD is a broad term for respiratory diseases that are characterized by airway obstruction that isn’t completely reversible, COPD is usually by smoking. A refined inspection of the patient is essential to the understanding of how severe the condition may be.

Temperate forests have many characteristics that make this biome a great place for its inhabitants. This biome has many characteristics like seasonal variation, diverse flora, and a canopy structure. Temperate forests have a seasonal variation of cooler and warmer temperatures, which helps to regulate the growth of the diverse flora and tree canopies that it contains. The rich soil helps provide nutrients for the luscious vegetation growing on the forest floor. The seasonal variation shows physical signs of change in the trees as deciduous trees change their leaves in the fall, and eventually lose their leaves in the winter. This biome receives moderate rainfall throughout the year, providing water for the biomes rich fauna. All these characteristics make this biome, a very adaptable and growing habitat for the wildlife and plant flora it possesses. This biome is my personal favorite because I live in it.

This video explained biodiversity in a simple but effective way, as well as explaining why biodiversity is so important. The first key point of the video is the definition of biodiversity is “the complex web of life in all its forms and interactions”. then there is an explanation of how the interactions of every single organism makes an ecosystem, that relies on the constant flow of energy that exist between every organism. Another key point is that a quarter of all life on earth exists in just the dirt. The video explains that bacteria helps provide nutrients for plants and how that creates the circle of life. Biodiversity is so important because we rely on it to eat, breathe, and survive. Rainforest and grasslands filter the air, wetlands filter the water, and biomes like coral reefs provide protection from harsh weather. Human activity has taken a toll on the Earth’s biodiversity, our actions have put too much pressure on biodiversity, so it becomes even harder for it to bounce back. The final key point is the four things we can do to help the Earth, which is speak out, save energy, plant a garden, and enjoy nature.
